Inputs: Dash then hold crouch to slide

Ground dashes are eligible to be cancelled into a slide at any time. When this is performed, it is called a Dash Slide.

Dash Sliding costs one bar of stamina.

Dash Sliding is useful for multiple reasons. It:

  • Allows you to maintain some speed out of a regular dash (since a regular dash ends at regular walking speed) and allows you to travel more distance in comparison to a regular dash.
  • Puts you into the slide state, which is useful for combat and doesn't lock you out of shooting.
  • Only consumes one bar of stamina, which can be preferable to a Dash Jump.
  • Is easily cancellable, unlike regular dashes which can only be cancelled by a slide.

Dash Sliding for the full duration is not advisable; sliding for the full duration will cause you to eventually move at a speed slower than walking; instead, cancel the slide roughly when the Dash Jump circle turns blue.
