TL;DR: Do not use AI to write article content, or generate wiki assets.
Assistance
[edit | edit source]It is allowed to use AI tools to assist in the creation of illustrated diagrams, code, and text. For example, the following are all allowed:
- Using AI to compose a Lua function for you, which you then test thoroughly before deploying.
- Using an AI grammar checker to improve your text.
- Using AI to help remove the background from an image.
Generative
[edit | edit source]The following are not allowed:
- Using AI to generate article content.
- Using AI to generate images to be used as wiki assets (favicon, logo, background or border images, etc).
- Using AI to mass generate CSS, as it can degrade the visual quality of the wiki;
- If CSS is AI generated, it should be minimal and suited for the wiki, eg. using the wikis CSS variables for light/dark mode compatibility.
With the sole exception:
- If you have existing developer knowledge, and a good level of understanding, you can use AI to generate JS, wikitext, or Lua code.
