== Overview == [[File:Ranked terminal.jpg|thumb|The Ranked terminal]] Players can view their ranks and the leaderboards in the rank menu in the [[Hideout]], represented by a chalkboard that displays the player's current rank or placement progress and their performance in their most recent ranked match. The machine next to the chalkboard prints a ticker tape showing the player's recent match results as well (red for losses and green for wins). Players eligible for Ranked must complete 8 placement matches. Upon completing placements, the highest '''starting rank''' a player can achieve is Oracle VI. === Requirements === Ranked mode has the following minimum requirements: * 60 wins in standard mode * 3 heroes unlocked for ranked ** A hero needs 15 wins in standard mode to be unlocked in ranked Players also cannot queue for ranked if they have any matchmaking restrictions or bans, and cannot queue in parties of more than 2 players. Placement matches can only be played solo. Players in a party can only be up to 1 rank apart, and in Eternus they have to be up to 3 subranks apart. === Rank Points === Players will win or lose around 300 rank points for each match, slightly adjusted based on matchmaking quality and increased on win streaks. Ranking up a subrank requires 1000 points, and ranking up to the next rank requires 2000 points. The exception is Eternus, in which the rank requirements per subrank are instead percentile-based. Upon reaching the lowest threshold in a subrank, the player has 2 matches of rank protection before ranking down. Before going down a full rank, they have 5 matches of rank protection. This is indicated by shield icons under the player's rank progress bar. Players on a win streak earn bonus rank points starting at their 3rd consecutive win with 70 points, increasing by 20 points for each subsequent win, up to a maximum cap of 130 points at 6 wins. {| class="wikitable" style="text-align:center" |+Eternus subrank percentiles !Eternus tier !Percentile |- |I |0% |- |II |25% |- |III |50% |- |IV |70% |- |V |85% |- |VI |95% |} === Pre-Match phase === During the pre-match phase, players have 30 seconds to switch lanes, and/or change to another hero that they have unlocked by opening the "Change Hero" menu. Each player can only change heroes once. Players can't see if the enemy team has changed heroes. If a player tries to change to a hero that another player in either team has already picked, that hero will be unavailable for them. 3 heroes can be banned in ranked matches (1 more than in Standard). === Abandons === If a player abandons a match before 5 minutes, the match becomes unscored and safe to leave for all players except for the leaver and their duo. If they abandon after 5 minutes, the match becomes unscored and safe to leave only for the leaver's team, unless they manage to win. If all players on that team leave, the match ends and the enemy team wins. If a player on the enemy team also leaves, the same rules apply to that team (the match is unscored unless the team wins). === Leaderboards === The Global leaderboard showcases the top 1,000 Deadlock players per region, as well as up to 3 of their highest-rated heroes. Hero leaderboards showcase the top 1,000 players of each hero available in Normal mode, per region. A player needs to have played a minimum of 75 matches in the past 30 days to appear in the global leaderboard, and a minimum of 30 matches with a specific hero in the past 30 days, as well as 100 wins total with that hero, to appear in that hero's leaderboard. The leaderboard regions are North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
