Components

Components in Deadlock are items required to purchase upgraded "parent" items. The pricing system automatically applies discounts when components are obtained, whether directly or through other parent items.

For example, Titanic Magazine normally costs  1600 because it includes the  800 cost of its Extended Magazine component. If you already own Extended Magazine, Titanic Magazine's price drops to just  800 for the upgrade itself.

This component ownership affects all related parent items. Since Extended Magazine is also required for Escalating Resilience, owning Titanic Magazine will make Escalating Resilience cheaper too (reduced from  3200 to  2400).
