A sandman from the secretive OSIC, Haze's background is shrouded in mystery. She mentions being trained by the OSIC and has dedicated her life to them,<ref>{{VoiceLineCite|name=Haze|quotes=Haze/Quotes#Bullet Dance|context=(upgrade Bullet Dance)|transcription=The OSIC trained me well.}}</ref><ref name=":9" /> but any information on Haze's origins and how she became an OSIC agent is unknown.
