== Chapter 1 - Career Day ==

Interviewer: So, Miss Ivy.

Ivy: Just Ivy is fine.

Interviewer: Okay Ivy that's a *Heh* that's an interesting name for gargoyle

Ivy: it's a long story, thanks for meeting with me.

Interviewer: Anything for Carlos, so uh what type of work are you looking for?

Ivy: Uh that's the thing I don't know for the past 20 years I was so focused on cleaning up
Spanish Harlem I never really thought about what to do when I was finished.

Interviewer: Oh, so you have Municipal experience?

Ivy: N- no... just vigilante.

Interviewer: And how do you know Carlos?

Ivy: *Slight Chuckle* longer story.

Interviewer: But you're looking for a job.

Ivy: Yeah the Arroyos are wonderful people, and Carlos would never ask me to pay rent but
like now that Sophie's going to fancy College I feel like I need to contribute not that
dismantling the Mendoza Syndicate isn't contributing that's just more contributing with a
Capital C as opposed to like buying groceries.

Interviewer: Right....

Ivy: So I- I was hoping that you know, you could point me in a direction.

Interviewer: Well, let's see what we can do what are your hobbies?

Ivy: Uh that don't involve violence?

Interviewer: Ideally.

Ivy: People watching! Though if I'm being real honest that usually was the precursor to
vigilante justice.

Interviewer: Okay... What about special skills

Ivy: That also don't involve violence?

Interviewer: Please...

Ivy: I can fly.

Interviewer: I can work with that! Anything else I should know?

Ivy: I care about people like a lot, and I know that I'm not exactly your average applicant but
I work hard and I learn fast and I- I just want to help.

Interviewer: Okay well what do you think about these?

== Chapter 2a - On The Job Training ==
Ivy: Okay that's two orange juices, two coffees, cheddar omelette with hash browns,
cheddar omelette without hash browns, a short stack with extra maple syrup, and a waffle!
Right... You are not a table of four. Uh I'll be right back I am so sorry. Here you go. How else
do you make French toast? No you look like someone who could use a smiley face on his
French toast you look you know unfun.

Female Coworker: Ivy what are you doing.

Ivy: I'm trying to get that guy to lighten up a little.

Female Coworker: People come here for the food not personal growth.

Ivy: Got it. I'll be there in a second sir.

Female Coworker: Ivy ignore them.

Chapter 2b - Trust In The Process

Ivy: Uh so I want to make sure I understand this you want me to go up to criminals but not
punch them.

Lawyer: We don't know they're criminals.

Ivy: If they didn't do anything wrong why are they being served.

Lawyer: Well they might have done something wrong we don't know. All we care about is
getting the piece of paper into their hands so they can know they have legal issues,
anything after that is not our problem.

Ivy: Okay so who am I not punching today.

Lawyer: Well I got two options for you first is a mobster goes by Wraith.

Ivy: Wai –wai- wa- wai- wai- wait aren't Mobsters criminals.

Lawyer: Oh yeah.

Ivy: You just said we didn't know they did something wrong.

Lawyer: In this case we can make reasonable assumptions.

Ivy: So can I punch her?

Lawyer: No.

Ivy: Why not!

Lawyer: Two reasons one it's assault; two everyone deserves due process.

Ivy: The law seems pretty stupid.

Lawyer: You have no idea.

Ivy: Who's the other option?

Lawyer: Jacob Lash.

Ivy: Who's that?

Lawyer: An asshole.

Ivy: Got it.

== Chapter 2c - Family Meeting ==
Ivy: Hey everyone sorry I'm late I was meeting with a recruiter and, got. Wha- what's going
on is everything okay? Wha- what do you mean change? How can we help.

== Chapter 3a - The Server's Dream ==
Ivy: Ugh that felt good.

Female Coworker: I bet.

Ivy: I'm getting fired, aren't I?

Female Coworker: Oh yeah.

Ivy: Got nothing but time now I didn't get any glass in your French toast did I? You're not as
unfun as I thought. I tossed a jerk through glass I'm not sure I'd call that a talent. Uh they're
a band, right? I think Sophie listens to them, oh she's my adoptive sist-. So what do I have
to do? Let's do it.

== Chapter 3b - Tough Day ==
Ivy: fine everyone was just so mean, this one family had the rudest children I've ever met.
Some other couple made it very clear how they felt about a gargoyle serving them, and my
boss got mad at me for putting a smiley face on some French toast. That's what I said! I
really thought it would be different you know like you guys have been so kind to me, the
Barrio has been so kind to me and those people, it it's not just like they didn't see me, it's
that they didn't want to see me, like I wasn't a person to them. I- I-. I shouldn't be this
upset, it's stupid. The mob literally tried to kill me and I didn't care this much. I almost
threw someone through a window. I just want tomorrow to be better *Scoffs* will it? Well
some people don't deserve Grace. It's not fair to be asked to be the bigger person all the
time. People suck. You got it Carlos.

== Chapter 3c - Career Day ==
Wraith: How are things going? Mo or Krill? I'll go talk to them.

Ivy: Excuse me I'm looking for Miss Wraith?

Wraith: What is it? I'm wraith what's going on?

Ivy: I'm sorry for barging into your... totally normal back room.

Wraith: Social clubs are common in lots of Taylor shops.

Ivy: I'm not sure that's true anyway you've been served here's the. Sophie, what are you
doing here? Do you know how much trouble you'll be in if Carlos caught you playing in an
illegal poker game?

Wraith: She's not playing, she's just helping with my books.

Ivy: Oh my God that's worse! I thought you said you had a scholarship! What! She is a
criminal!

Wraith: I am a female entrepreneur in a male dominated industry, as far as Role Models go,
I'm basically Florence Nightingale with a gun.

Ivy: No no, I'm taking you home.

Wraith: Look I can keep Sophie out of trouble.

Ivy: You're the one getting her in trouble!

Wraith: If you call financing a smart girl's dreams of higher education getting her in trouble
guilty as charged.

Ivy: If the cops raid this place she's going to jail.

Wraith: That's why God invented bribes.

Ivy: Oh my God.

== Chapter 3d - Serving Lash ==
Ivy: Uh excuse me I I'm looking for Jacob Lash? What do you mean? Oh he's not here oh uh,
you mind if I um, excuse me Mr. Lash?

Lash: Sorry sweet Wings don't sign autographs when I'm working

Ivy: *Scoffs* Is that what you call this?

Lash: The Lash doesn't have to explain his craft to you.

Ivy: What craft you're sitting on an ibeam.

Lash: Nah babe, I am ruminating on an ibeam.

Ivy: Well here's something else for you to ruminate on.

Lash: What is this?

Ivy: You've been served.

Lash: Oh oh this day just keeps getting better and better.

Ivy: I'm sorry oh, um Mr. lash it's none of my business but there were some people down
there waiting for you they didn't look particularly kind.

Ivy: Yeah that's why I'm up here.

Ivy: But if you want I can scare them off.

Lash: That's a good one lady, but the Lash isn't running. He just needs a little bit of time to
figure out whose teeth, he's going to kick in first.

Ivy: You're going to fight them all yourself?

Lash: Yes.

Ivy: There's like, a lot of them.

Lash: Odds are for people who are good at math. Now if you excuse me the Lash has to get
to work.

== Chapter 3e - I Believe In Carlos Arroyo ==
Ivy: Good morning sir would you. Excuse me ma'am would you be interested in learning
why Carlos Arroyo should be New York's next mayor? Well you know what they say about
gargoyles, me neither, it seemed like a thing to say. My name's actually just Ivy. Well
there's two reasons for that one I believe in Carlos Arroyo and two, I- I don't really know
what the Maelstrom is. What's there to wish for? I have an amazing family, my
neighborhood is safe, and I'm living in the greatest city in the world. That's cheating! And
Carlos wouldn't want to win that way. What for I'm not running for mayor, *Whispers* do
you think it would help him? Okay sure! Yeah. I can't imagine what my life would be like
if it weren't for Carlos and his family.

== Chapter 4a - Enter Cadence ==
Cadence: [Music] The candles are lit, they walk in through the door, clad in silken ropes, the
lamp tied on the floor. It bleeds and it screams, cries that you will ignore the pursuit of
power, has far worse in store. Because you're paying the price, there's no turning back
now, the blood on your hands washes off anyhow, you say it's in thanks we all know that's
not true you murdered that girl just cause you wanted to. [Music]

Ivy: She's really good.

Cadence: Archie who's that? Oh come on.

Ivy: Hi I'm Ivy it's nice to meet you.

Cadence: Cadence, look Ivy you seem nice and I'm sure you've come a long way but.

Ivy: Oh I actually just met Mr. Nice down the street.

Cadence: I'm sure it was impressive, but I really think you're overreacting Archie.

Ivy: One window not enough for you this week buddy I don't think that's going to be up to
you. Your friends are about to find-.

Cadence: I'm pretty sure the Bodyguard you hired just made things worse.

Ivy: If you don't stand up to bullies that's what makes things worse. If anything gets broken
tonight sir, I promise to help fix it.

== Chapter 4e - Helping Hand ==
Ivy: He’s going to get himself killed.

Lash: Don't be shy boys. Dr. Lash has plenty of medicine to give. Why don't you come a
little closer. I couldn't hear you.

Ivy: Did he say Mendoza?

Lash: Not bad.

Ivy: *Grunt* Did he say Mendoza?

Lash: I know it's hard to believe but not everyone is a fan of the Lash.

Ivy: He said he was going to leave New York.

Lash: *In Pain* People lie.

Ivy: Where is Ugh! Where is he?

Lash: You uh need my help?

Ivy: Yeah, but not with this guy.

Lash: Ooh I like you sweet Wings.

Ivy: My name is Ivy you know.

Lash: You know what you earned yourself an actual name can you take me to him after we
take out these guys, no problem
