Lady Jeanne Geist (married name) was born in France in the early 1800s. As the ward was "against the spirit of the deal," Oathkeeper promised to make Jeanne suffer if he ever broke free. Lady Geist stars in her own visual novel, titled as ''The Binding of Oathkeeper.'' Below is a brief summary of the visual novel. There are 9 different endings overall.

Note: ''The Binding of Oathkeeper'' is currently inaccessible to the main game, instead being something planned for release in the future. As such, everything in the current visual novel is prone to change, as it is still undergoing development.

=== Chapter 1 ===
The visual novel begins with Lady Geist calling doctor Johann Geist Jr. to her home: she wants him to look at her ward containing Oathkeeper since life doesn't sustain her like it used to. After looking at the ward, Johann confirms that the ward is failing because Oathkeeper is getting close to figuring out how to break free. Lady Geist threatens Johann to find some solutions to the problem, to which Johann proposes two options: getting to know wards better, or getting to know Oathkeeper better.

As Lady Geist seeks to understand wards better, Johann Jr. gets Lady Geist in contact with {{HeroIcon|Dynamo}}, who arranges a gala for "the brightest minds" to attend. While most people at the gala are unable to help Geist's problems with the ward, she does get two notable leads: {{HeroIcon|McGinnis}} and {{HeroIcon|Abrams}} (Abrams told Dynamo to give Lady Geist his business card).

In [[The Binding of Oathkeeper/Transcription#4a - Humble Pie|Storyline A]], Lady Geist decides to make amends with McGinnis after being rude to her at the gala, seeking McGinnis out at her workshop. While McGinnis is initially reluctant to help Lady Geist, she is interested when Lady Geist offers McGinnis the chance to "harness the power of a god" during the Maelstrom. 

Some time passes until the day before the ritual, where McGinnis creates a new ward for Lady Geist, designed to "drip feed" Oathkeeper to maximise every life Lady Geist takes. With the new ward created, Lady Geist is told to participate in the Maelstrom to gather enough souls to power the ward.

In [[The Binding of Oathkeeper/Transcription#4b - Revelation|Storyline B]], Lady Geist seeks Abrams after receiving his business card. After meeting at Abrams' apartment, Abrams shows his Tome to Lady Geist, asking her to place her Oathkeeper hand on a ripped page. After Oathkeeper screams out, Abrams and Lady Geist deduce that the Tome is related to Oathkeeper, now intending to summon the [[Patron|Patrons]] for answers.

Some time passes as Lady Geist and Abrams succeed in summoning the Patron. Abrams accidentally wastes his wish on asking how Oathkeeper is related to the Tome, only getting told that the Tome was used a long time ago to conjure Oathkeeper. Lady Geist wishes that the missing pages of the Tome be restored, so Oathkeeper would be bound to the Tome instead of her. Now that the Patron has left, Abrams is still stuck with the Tome, now with Oathkeeper inside of it. Lady Geist initially doesn't care about Abrams' fate until Abrams points out that Oathkeeper would come for her if the people after the Tome ever released him. Understanding that her life is still at risk, Lady Geist gets Abrams to move in to her apartment.

Storyline B ends with Lady Geist placing the Tome on a bookshelf in her home, acknowledging that her and Abrams' fates have been intertwined until they can find a way to destroy the Tome.

Lady Geist decides to get to know Oathkeeper better, meeting with Johann Jr. to discuss everything he could find out about Oathkeeper. Johann reveals that, while the ward is failing, Oathkeeper doesn't know how close he is to escaping, which Lady Geist can take advantage of to make a new deal with Oathkeeper. Lady Geist decides to dwell on this at [[Jezebel's]], talking with Oathkeeper about how neither of them are benefiting from their deal anymore (as Oathkeeper's power is weakening). Lady Geist proposes a new deal: she transfers Oathkeeper to somebody she trusts. That way Oathkeeper gets a new host to feed him, and he doesn't get an opportunity to kill Lady Geist.[[File:Geist VN Fairfax deal.png|thumb|325x325px|Storyline C - Lady Geist transfers Oathkeeper to Maximilian Fairfax]]Returning home, Lady Geist talks to Johann Jr. about taking Oathkeeper from her, which he passionately refuses. Discussing a few potential candidates to take Oathkeeper, Lady Geist decides between giving Oathkeeper to [[Maximilian Fairfax]] or [[Shelly Fisher]]. As Shelly Fisher is one of Johann Jr.'s sick patients, Johann snaps at Lady Geist before walking out on her.
In Storyline C, Lady Geist decides to meet Maximilian Fairfax about transferring Oathkeeper to him. Lady Geist wants Fairfax to take Oathkeeper as she's "tired of bearing his weight", and believes an entity as powerful as Oathkeeper needs a strong hand to guide it. Fairfax accepts the deal, with terms that Lady Geist is given guarantees to her foundations and safety. 

Three days later, Lady Geist and Fairfax sign a blood contract to solidify their deal. Oathkeeper is successfully transfered to Fairfax, and Lady Geist leaves content that she's "in safe hands".

Storyline C ends with Maximilian Fairfax asking Oathkeeper if he's ready to change the world.

Alternatively, Lady Geist decides to meet Shelly Fisher about transferring Oathkeeper to her. After {{HeroIcon|Bebop}} lets Lady Geist into Shelly's home, Lady Geist tells Shelly that she knows Shelly's close to death and can offer her salvation.  

However, Shelly has already accepted her eventual death and declines Lady Geist's offer. As Johann Jr. called Shelly in advance to warn her about Lady Geist, she knows that a deal with Oathkeeper requires killing people to stay young and considers Lady Geist's "salvation" to be a curse. Shelly calls Lady Geist out for trying to pawn off the responsibilities for making a "deal with the devil", telling her that Lady Geist knows what she's doing is wrong. 

Stunned that Shelly has accepted her death, Lady Geist doesn't know what to do about Oathkeeper. Lady Geist has a choice: consider what Shelly Fisher has told her, or ignore what she said. 

In Storyline D, Lady Geist gives in to her anger and tries to kill Shelly Fisher to buy herself more time. Bebop enters the room and intervenes, smashing the ward containing Oathkeeper while Lady Geist's guard is lowered. As Oathkeeper is freed, Lady Geist tries begging for mercy, but Oathkeeper brushes it off. 

Storyline D ends with Oathkeeper preparing to "make up for lost time" with an aged, terrified Lady Geist.

Alternatively, Lady Geist decides to reflect on Shelly Fisher's words at Jezebel's. Tended to by [[Hank]], Lady Geist discovers that Jezebel's is getting shut down by the Alchemy Bureau. 

In Storyline E, Lady Geist offers Hank to get the resources he needs to save Jezebel's if he's willing to take Oathkeeper from her. Storyline E ends with Hank accepting the deal. 

In Storyline F, Lady Geist wishes Hank luck in saving Jezebel's. Oathkeeper, still believing Lady Geist intends to transfer him to a new host, suggests giving him to some strangers at Jezebel's. However, thanks to the words of Johann Jr. and Shelly Fisher, Lady Geist has finally accepted her upcoming death and decides to take Oathkeeper down with her by taking them both to the Arctic Circle. Revealing her intentions to Oathkeeper, he promises to make Lady Geist suffer for this. 

Storyline F ends with Lady Geist walking off into an Arctic snowstorm, acknowledging that Oathkeeper will suffer with her.

After Johann suggests making a new deal with Oathkeeper in chapter 2, Lady Geist decides to sleep. She dreams of when she first made her deal with Oathkeeper, where she established that she got to choose who died. Oathkeeper begins taunting Lady Geist in her sleep, telling her that she hasn't fed him enough to honor their deal, and that her binding of him was "against the spirit of the bargain". As Oathkeeper doesn't realise how close he is to breaking free, Lady Geist bluffs him into making a new deal, where she either plays into Oathkeeper's honor or his cruelty.

Deciding to play into Oathkeeper's cruelty, Lady Geist renegotiates the terms of her deal with Oathkeeper: the plan was to summon the Patrons and use them as a notary to "increase the exchange rate" by gaining 200 years of complete obedience from Oathkeeper. In order for the plan to work, however, Lady Geist needed a sacrifice.  

Lady Geist invites Johann Jr. to her home for a cup of tea, where she reveals the plan to him. When Johann asks why Lady Geist doesn't just banish Oathkeeper, Lady Geist answers that banishing Oathkeeper would make her grow old, which, in her eyes, is a slow and painful death sentence. Refusing to "die a crone", Lady Geist intends to keep Oathkeeper happy to avoid that outcome. When Johann refuses to get involved with her plan, Lady Geist reveals that Johann plays a role in the deal, as Johann falls unconscious due to the drugged cup of tea.  

Some time passes as Lady Geist is successful in summoning the Patron, with a tight grip on Johann's neck.

In storyline G, Lady Geist makes her wish to the Patron: Johann's life for 200 years of complete obedience from Oathkeeper. Oathkeeper consents to the deal while Johann begs for his life. The wish is granted, and Johann's corpse is left in an alleyway. Oathkeeper is amazed that Lady Geist would go through with killing her grandson, as he didn't think she had it in her. Lady Geist tells Oathkeeper that she "doesn't maintain relationships with useless people". Oathkeeper tells Lady Geist that she is a "delight".  

Storyline G ends with Lady Geist telling Oathkeeper to wait and see what she does next.  

In Storyline H, Lady Geist is about to make her wish to the Patrons. Before she makes her terms, however, Lady Geist remembers the day she first held Johann Jr. as a baby, with her son Walter by her side. In an act of selflessness, Lady Geist changes her wish at the last second: her life to banish Oathkeeper from Earth. The wish is granted despite Oathkeeper's outcry.  

Storyline H ends with Johann Jr. at Lady Geist's family tombstone, thanking her for her sacrifice.

In Storyline I, instead of deciding to play into Oathkeeper's cruelty like in Storyline G, Lady Geist decides to play into his honor instead. To do this, she intends to pay back her deal with Oathkeeper by feeding him enough to satisfy him. After killing three vagrants and only getting 2 months of youth, however, Lady Geist realises that she needs an alternative way of paying Oathkeeper back. Lady Geist suggests going into the [[Maelstrom]] due to the magical activity, to which Oathkeeper tells her to summon the Patrons. While Lady Geist is initially reluctant, she agrees as it's the only way to appease Oathkeeper without a massacre.  

Some time passes as Lady Geist is successful in summoning the Patron. Lady Geist wishes for peace: to be freed from Oathkeeper's influence so that they can both walk away prosperously. The wish is granted as Oathkeeper is released and Lady Geist returns to her old appearance. With their "business concluded", Oathkeeper tells Lady Geist that, while he didn't enjoy being binded, it was at least something different. He also adds that Lady Geist is "one of his favorites" due to her apathy for her actions over the past 50 years. Oathkeeper leaves to find a new host.  

Some time passes as Lady Geist and Johann Jr. are at an airport. An old lady once more, Lady Geist is leaving America to enjoy the rest of her natural life in Paris. She thanks Johann Jr. for all his help and leaves him a bag of valuables as payment.
