* The carpet is affected by [[Sprinting]]. Sprinting behaves as normal: holding any movement key causes speed to build up to the maximum [[Sprint Speed]] and is reset when taking damage or aiming. Note that this counterintuitively means '''holding the backwards movement key will cause the carpet to accelerate'''.
* Magic Carpet is silenced by {{ItemIcon|Slowing Hex}}.
* Abilities using Confirm Cast or Quick Cast can be "prepared" while on the carpet, since they aren't cast until the Fire button is pressed or the ability button is released respectively.
** {{HeroIcon|Vindicta}}'s {{AbilityIcon|Assassinate}} does not cast until the Fire button is pressed, allowing her to scope in and not dismiss the carpet. Magic Carpet is affected by the ability's [[Move Speed]] limit, but also overrides the scoped camera, causing Assassinate to fire slightly left of the on-screen crosshair.
* Flight speed is capped while holding the [[Soul Urn]].
* The carpet can break [[Breakables]] by flying into them.
