== Notes ==
* Magic Carpet is silenced by {{ItemIcon|Slowing Hex}}.
* Abilities using Confirm Cast or Quick Cast can be "prepared" while on the carpet, since they aren't cast until the Fire button is pressed or the ability button is released respectively.
** {{HeroIcon|Vindicta}}'s {{AbilityIcon|Assassinate}} does not cast until the Fire button is pressed, allowing her to scope in and not dismiss the carpet. Magic Carpet is affected by the ability's [[Move Speed]] limit, but also overrides the scoped camera, causing Assassinate to fire slightly left of the on-screen crosshair.

* Flight speed is capped while holding the [[soul urn]]

== Dismissing the carpet ==
The following are considered "actions" and immediately dismiss the carpet:
* Casting an ability
* Using an item
* Attacking with a weapon
* [[Jumping|Air-jumping]] or [[Air Dash|airdashing]]

Some abilities that can linger and deal [[damage]] after a hero uses Magic Carpet also count as an "action". For example, an enemy hero walking over a {{AbilityIcon|Grasping Hands}} line dismisses a flying {{HeroIcon|Graves}}' carpet. 

As a rule of thumb: A hero dealing single-instance damage will dismiss their carpet and most effects that deal Damage over Time will not. This rule is similar to damage that [[Ziplines#Getting Knocked Off|knocks heroes off of Ziplines]] but without damage from player-created [[Units]]. 
The following abilities are notable exceptions: 
* Single-Instance Damage that do '''''not''''' dismiss the carpet:
** {{HeroIcon|Mirage}}: {{AbilityIcon|Djinn's Mark}}
** {{HeroIcon|Graves}}' {{AbilityIcon|Jar of Dead}}, {{AbilityIcon|Grasping Hands}} (Ghouls), and {{AbilityIcon|Borrowed Decree}}
* <abbr title="Damage over Time>DoT</abbr> or <abbr title="Damage Per Second>DPS</abbr> that will dismiss the carpet:

** {{HeroIcon|Lady Geist}}: {{AbilityIcon|Life Drain}}
