Deadlock's vampires seem to possess similar abilities to many vampires in fiction, such as immortality/eternal youth.<ref>{{PageRef|name=Mina}}'s background: ''"They had to think big. They had to think outside of the box. They had to promise their daughter immortality."''</ref> Additionally, both Mina and Drifter express control over blood (as both use it as ammunition for their weapons). {{HeroIcon|Graves}} also implies that vampires are undead.<ref>{{VoiceLineCite|name=Graves|quotes=Graves/Voice lines#enemies|context=(killed Drifter)|transcription=It looks like my mastery of the dead extends to vampires.}}</ref> 

The older vampires, also known as "vampire elders",<ref>{{PageRef|name=Mina}}'s in-game [[Mina/Quotes#Enemies|voice line]] (killed Warden): ''"I've seen Vampire Elders with a smaller stick up their ass."''</ref> hold their archiac titles in high regard, which Drifter considers "soft".<ref>{{PageRef|name=Drifter}}'s in-game [[Drifter/Quotes#Select|voice line]] (select): ''"The elders of New Amsterdam are soft, clinging to archaic titles like they grant them real power."''</ref> 

The Vampire Nation doesn't care about human clout, as Mina is at the bottom of the vampiric social ladder despite her wealth and fame.<ref>{{PageRef|name=Mina}}'s background: ''"Now a fledgling vampire, Mina is quickly discovering that the clout she held as a human has no weight in vampire high society."''</ref><ref>{{PageRef|name=Mina}}'s in-game [[Mina/Quotes#Select|voice line]] (select): ''"I'm tired of being at the bottom of the vampiric social ladder."''</ref> 

Vampires seem unwilling to turn humans into vampires, as it cost Mina's parents a small fortune to find a single vampire willing to turn Mina.<ref>{{PageRef|name=Mina}}'s background: ''"It took a small fortune, but eventually they found a vampire who was willing to turn her."''</ref>

Vampires are a protected species in America,<ref>{{PageRef|name=Mina}}'s in-game [[Mina/Quotes#Enemies|voice line]] (killed Haze): ''"I'm not worried about the OSIC.
