The item provides a passive effect that creates an additional bullet when the hero shoots their weapon, and the additional bullet will mimic the bullets created by the current weapon. The Mystic Shot bullet appears as a glowing purple version of the hero's regular bullets.  
* The additional spirit damage occurs before the bullet damage. This is relevant for items such as {{ItemIcon|Bullet Resist Shredder}}, since the spirit damage will activate the negative bullet resist effect, amplifying the bullet damage.
* The bonus spirit damage is able to activate the {{ItemIcon|Mystic Burst}}. However, this requires some additional spirit, since the base mystic shot damage is below the threshold to activate mystic burst. Similarly, mystic shot is able to activate the effect of {{ItemIcon|Improved Burst}}, but requires significantly more spirit to get to the threshold spirit damage for activation.


For most weapons, the Mystic bullet can follow the trajectory of any bullet, which can make it fly off-center for weapons with significant spread over time, such as {{HeroIcon|McGinnis}}'. The exception are spreadshot weapons such as {{HeroIcon|Abrams}}' and {{HeroIcon|Shiv}}'s, in which the Mystic pellet is always fired at the center of the crosshair.
