'''Split Shot''' is a Tier 2 [[Weapon]] [[Items|Item]] with a multi-shot active effect. Activating this item will enable a 5-shot multishot from your weapon for a short time, causing each attack to fire extra shots in a horizontal fan at fixed angles on either side of the main shot. If multiple enemy heroes are hit in a single attack, a stacking weapon damage buff is granted.

Targets may only be hit once per multishot.

== Notes ==

* Multishots can hit [[unit]]s as well, but they do not grant stacks.
* Each shot is separated by approximately 5°, leading to a total of approximately 20° spread between the furthest two shots.

== Notable interactions ==

* For {{HeroIcon|Celeste}}, it splits into 3 shots at 70° spread.
* Split Shot affects {{HeroIcon|Grey Talon}}'s {{AbilityIcon|Rain of Arrows}}, allowing him to fire 25 arrows at once.
* Split Shot affects {{HeroIcon|Paradox}}'s {{AbilityIcon|Kinetic Carbine}}, allowing her to fire 5 Kinetic Carbine shots at once. However, it will only affect the first enemy hit.
* {{HeroIcon|The Doorman}} and {{HeroIcon|Paige}} can gain stacks by hitting multiple players with the same shot. It also removes the 50% post-pierce damage reduction for Doorman's bullets.
