The '''New York Oracle''' is an in-universe newspaper publication in [[Deadlock]] that has been operating in New York for over 20 years, costing 5 pennies per copy.

In-game, it takes the form of a stall on the lanes with the Newscaster NPC. Although it can't be interacted with, it will periodically say one of the headlines, which give insights to nearby players about the world and setting of the game. The Newscaster model is similar to the [[Shopkeeper]]. The Newscaster also narrates the in-game tutorial.

[[Minor characters|Allie Kincaid]] is a reporter for the New York Oracle.

The Newscaster is voiced by Jason Keller,<ref>Jason Keller's resume - <nowiki>https://jasonkeller-actor.com</nowiki></ref> who also voices the Shopkeeper.
