* The buff persists through death.
* Most player-created NPCs (summons)  can also be consumed for the bonus souls, see more [[#Abilities_affected_by_Cultist_Sacrifice|below]].
* The active works by dealing a large amount of [[Spirit Damage]]. This means it can activate on-hit spirit damage procs such as {{ItemIcon|Spirit Burn}}.

* Using Cultist Sacrifice on an NPC gives the player the full soul bounty plus {{DataProp|Cultist Sacrifice|BonusSoulsPct}}% ({{#expr: 100 + {{DataProp|Cultist Sacrifice|BonusSoulsPct}}}}% total).
* The original bounty and the bonus are displayed as two separate values when activated.
* The bonus souls from Cultist Sacrifice are secured souls.

=== Damage vs NPCs ===
* The bonus damage works against [[Troopers]], neutral entities like [[Neutral]]s and [[Mid-Boss]], as well as lane structures and team objectives such as [[Guardian]]s, [[Walker]]s, [[Shrine]]s, and the [[Patron]].
