Notes: Note on Vindicta fix for the bug/issue, didn't remove it so that people are still aware that it could happen on other effects and remain watchful
Notes: removed outdated example. also this interaction being changed doesn't mean it was a bug

**Vindicta has 5 stacks of Escalating Exposure on an enemy Warden, and she uses Assassinate on him. The baseline Assassinate on its own is not enough damage to kill the Warden, but the increased damage (due to the 5 stacks) is enough to secure the kill. Since the damage amp from Escalating Exposure is applied after the Assassinate, it is technically the damage amp which secures the kill, not the Assassinate. Thus, Vindicta will not receive bonus souls from Assassinate's passive. As of the 03-06-2026 update, this was marked as a bug that has been patched and Vindicta gained a 4 second buffer from dealing damage on Assassinate to target death to still gain the bonus. This may indicate that these interactions are unintentional and that they will be fixed so that Escalating Exposure is considered part of the base effect damage eventually.
* EE's Damage amp is applied to only your damage, not to your teammates' damage as well. However, the flat non-stacking 8% vulnerability from Mystic Vulnerability, the trade-up for EE, is applied for all teammates.

Notes

  • The damage amp, and the spirit damage it is amplifying, are applied to the target as separate instances of damage. The damage from the damage amp is dealt after the original spell damage. This has implications for abilities or effects that rely on single instances of damage.
    • This means regardless of your own stack count, your Geist's 100 damage bombs will only apply 108 damage (Mystic Vulnerability's 8%) and will not be affected by your stacks.
    • This still applies even if the teammate also has escalating exposure.
  • The user that most recently started applying stacks' icon will be the only one shown to the entire team.
  • The user with stacks applied to them will only see the combined total of Escalating Exposure stacks on them, not each player's individual count.
