Pure Damage

Pure Damage is a damage type from Abilities and Items that isn't considered Spirit or Weapon Damage, and thus cannot be mitigated by Damage Resistance or Barriers.

Pure Damage appears as white numbers, and a grey bar in the damage report tab.

Some items can function similarly to Pure Damage by bypassing mitigation of their damage type.

Some abilities or items show as Pure Damage (white numbers), however they are a post damage mitigation damage amp, therefore the damage is already reduced once.

• Armor Piercing Rounds and Tankbuster don't deal Pure Damage (white numbers), but their damage bypasses Weapon and Spirit Resistances, respectively.

Notes

• Pure Damage was added in the August 18, 2025 Update. Before this, the abilities and items listed dealt Spirit Damage instead.
  • Their behavior was similar, bypassing resistances, however some interactions were different, for example Lady Geist's Soul Exchange worked with Mystic Reverb
