Ranked is a challenge mode that provides a more competitive Deadlock experience where you'll be matchmade with players of similar skill to determine your Skill Rank among the global population.

Ranked mode is a game mode in Deadlock for competitive players to compete with other players of similar skill levels. By winning matches and performing well, players can earn badges for their profile depending on the highest rank they achieve.

Ranked mode was first added to the game on October 10, 2024, replaced by the Skill Rating system on November 21, 2024, and re-introduced on July 30, 2026.

Overview

The rank badge can be found by viewing the profile. The ranks of other players can also be viewed in the pre-game screen, and during the game in the main menu.

Players need the following requirements to play ranked mode:

  • 60 standard games total
  • 3 heroes unlocked for ranked
    • A hero needs 15 wins in standard mode to be unlocked in ranked

Players also cannot queue for ranked if they have any matchmaking restrictions or bans, and cannot queue in parties of more than 2 players. Players in a party can only be up to 1 rank apart, and in Eternus they have to be up to 3 subranks apart.

Ranks

Players are grouped into the below ranks, with Eternus as the highest and most skilled rank available.

Within each rank, players are further assigned a subrank from I to VI, with VI the highest subrank. The ranks, from lowest to highest are:
