Shrines appear to be a metallic chair or throne, with a modified [[Guardian]] sitting atop it. The guardian seems to have a conductive metal crown instead of the usual brazier head found on standard guardians, which it uses to target nearby [[Trooper|Troopers]].
The Hidden King shrine resembles a speaker tower with three large loudspeakers and three smaller ones, all mounted on an inscribed hexagonal platform with a candle placed at each point. A glowing magical symbol sits at the center of the speakers. The shrine is primarily colored orange to match the Hidden King’s theme, and it faces the Hidden King patron, appearing to transmit sound waves toward it.

In contrast, the Archmother shrine takes the form of a blue-lit platform, fitting the Archmother theme, topped by a book stand holding a magical tome. A hexagon is also inscribed on the platform, surrounded by magical sigils and inscriptions. The book periodically flips open and appears to emit magical energy directed toward the Archmother patron.

Shrines are defensive Structures located in pairs within each team's base. They are the final objectives that must be destroyed before the Patron can be damaged.

Overview

Shrines are found in pairs within each team's base, located on opposite sides to each other. The Patron will patrol between each Shrine, and defend any that are under attack. Shrines have Error: Key "MaxHealth" not found in path "destroyable_building". Health.

Shrines have a beam attack that deals damage and curses players in its area of effect.

Durability

Like Base Guardians, Shrines have scaling Bullet Resist. By default, they have Error: Key "BulletResistBase" not found in path "destroyable_building".% Bullet Resist, however with every additional enemy hero nearby, they lose Error: Key "BulletResistReductionPerHero" not found in path "destroyable_building".%. This is likely to discourage backdooring and encourage attacking the base as a team. Additionally, Shrines are immune to damage from any source further than Error: Key "AntiSnipeRange" not found in path "destroyable_building".m away.

Like the Patron and Walkers, shrines also have backdoor protection, this causes them to constantly regenerate health if there are no Troopers nearby.

Destruction

Once both shrines have been destroyed, the enemy Patron will become vulnerable to damage. Allied Troopers will also gain 30% damage and health for the rest of the match.

March 10, 2026

March 6, 2026

  • Shrine is now easier to kill for the first one and harder for the second. HP from 8100 to 5000/10000 (HP updates after the first one dies, like Walkers)
  • Shrines attack no longer hits heroes under the shrine
  • Middle Lane troopers now gets upgraded when either of the shrines die, rather than only when both die (Wiki note: Based on testing, this seems to have been reverted in an undocumented change)
  • Shrines bounty increased from 0 to 2000
  • Added "0 Way" veils underneath the Shrine platforms in each base

Trivia

  • Latin inscription on the throne
The backrest of the throne, as well as the sign worn by the Guardian, feature the following Latin text

EN SACRIFICIUM CUSTOS LAPIDIS CORDE DIVINO OBLATUM TESTAMENTUM IN CHORO VIRTUTIS ET OBSEQUIL IN UMBRIS HUIUS THRONI RESONAT LEGATUM EORUM QUI AUSI SUNT CAELOS LACES SERE SOLUM INVENIRE FORTUNAM IN SACRIFICIO DESINATAM. HIC THRONUS MEMORIALE STET OPORTET ET POTEN TISSIMUM ORDINEM COELESTE ADORARE

In English this approximately translates to

Behold the sacrifice, the guardian of the stone offered with a divine heart—a testament. In the chorus of virtue and obedience, in the shadows of this throne, resounds the legacy of those who dared to challenge the heavens, only to find fortune destined in sacrifice. This throne must stand as a memorial, and it is fitting to worship the most powerful celestial order.
