Notes

  • Shock Damage is Spirit Damage and is reduced by Spirit Resist.
  • Shock Damage is reduced by falloff.
  • Although in general Tesla Bullets deals higher DPS the higher the Fire Rate, the scale is not linear. There are points at which having a higher fire rate will result in lower DPS, since more bullets will be shot during the cooldown.[1]

Trivia

  • Tesla Bullets is one of several items to feature in promotional posters around the Map.
  • Tesla Bullets is named after Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla, known for his contributions to the scientific understanding of electricity. One of his most iconic creations, the Tesla coil, arcs bolts of electricity into its surroundings, much like Tesla Bullets.
  • This item is very similar in its functionality to the Ukulele, one of the most recognizable items from the Risk of Rain franchise, which similarly gives the player a random chance to spark bolts of chain lighting when hitting enemies.
    • Many developers from Hopoo Games, the creators of Risk of Rain, have been hired by Valve and are working on Deadlock, including the eponymous Hopoo.[1]
