The Baxter Society is a well-known international monster hunting organization.
Summary
The Baxter Society was formed sometime after the First Maelstrom, with 
Grey Talon as one of the founding members. The society has been operating for over 40 years, hunting monsters across the globe.[1] Currently, 
Shiv is the only named active Baxter Society member, with Grey Talon and 
Calico being former members.
Instead of hunting all magical creatures, the Baxter Society specifically hunts monsters that prey on humanity.[1] This can extend to hunting humans, as Grey Talon mentions that the society likely would have hunted 
Lady Geist if they knew about her deal with Oathkeeper.[2] It's also mentioned that, while they currently aren't hunting him, the Baxter Society would likely hunt down 
Seven.[3] The Baxter Society have been hunting 
Drifter for years, but have been unsuccessful at killing him.[4][5][6]
The members of the Baxter Society don't get paid to hunt monsters. The lack of payment was why Calico left the society to pursue the well-paid life of an assassin.[7] It's implied that Calico left the society before Shiv joined.[8]
Grey Talon, while retired, is still heavily respected by the Baxter Society.[9] His dedication to the society resulted in books being made about his life and earning him a reputation as a "legend".[10][11] His dedication to his work, however, meant he was often away from home, which meant he missed watching his son grow up.[12] Refusing to make the same mistake for his grandkids, Grey Talon retired after roughly 40 years of service.[13] When he retired, Grey Talon was said to have more confirmed kills than anyone else in the Baxter Society.[14]
Shiv was chosen by Grey Talon as his replacement.[15][16] Due to his criminal background, the other members of the Baxter Society don't trust or respect Shiv.[17][18] Shiv worries that the Baxter Society would eventually turn on him.[19] Shiv has been sent to the ritual on behalf of the Baxter Society,[20][21] and hopes that he can prove his worth to them and Grey Talon by hunting the Patrons.[22][23]
Holliday is disappointed that the Baxter Society isn't hunting the Troubadour. Shiv says the Society is dealing with their own problems, which could potentially be more dangerous than the Troubadour.[24] He also invites Holliday to join the Society if she manages to kill the Troubadour.[25]
The Baxter Society owns a manor house, which seems to be their main base of operations. Once, a member of the Paradox Organisation tried to break into the manor house, but was caught. 
Paradox wants Grey Talon to get her into the manor house.[26]
At some point, the Society had to intervene at the Baroness Hotel, which 
The Doorman was grateful for.[27]
The Baxter Society have a friendly rivalry with the Venators of St. Benedict.[28]
According to Grey Talon, members of the society who are killed in action are often found skinless in a retention pond in Portugal or Denmark.[29]
Billy believes the Baxter Society never hunted any real monsters.[30]

- All 3 known members of the Baxter Society have a prosthetic right arm.
- Originally, all the known members were described as parents.[31][32] A reference to Shiv being a father was removed in the Old Gods, New Blood update.[33]
