The Deep is an underwater location within the depths of the Bermuda Triangle. It is connected to Outer Planes via an Astral Gate.
Summary
Viscous and Fathom are denizens of the Deep.[1][2] The denizens of the Deep know Fathom's true name.[3]
The Deep is being threatened by a powerful and dangerous being known as The Adversary. Viscous and Fathom want to stop the Adversary. Fathom wants to become the apex predator of the Deep again, and says his devotees begged him to save their lives.[4]
Viscous says the other denizens find legs "unnerving", but he enjoys having them.[5]
Holliday mistakes the Deep for the American Deep South. She asks Viscous if he's from Mobile, Alabama.[6]
