The Payout Gamble[edit]
The payout of Sinner's Sacrifice is intended to grant half of its souls from the melee attacks and the other half after the machine is destroyed.
However, due to how the the "payout" is handled, it is possible to gain more or less than the internal value. The following is a table of various examples of the "payout".
Minute | Internal Value | Souls from Heavy Melee | Souls from Light Melee | Final Hit | 5 HM + Final Hit | 8 LM + HM[1] + Final Hit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
0[2] | 300 → 300 | 30 → 30 | 15 → 15 | 150 → 150 | 300 | 300 |
8 | 325 → 325 | 32.5 → 33 | 16.25 → 16 | 162.5 → 162 | 327 | 323 |
12 | 337.5 → 338 | 33.8 → 34 | 16.85 → 17 | 169 → 169 | 339 | 339 |
16 | 350 → 350 | 35 → 35 | 17.5 → 18 | 175 → 175 | 350 | 354 |

Sinner's Sacrifice[edit]
Sinner's Sacrifice machines, formerly known as vault camps, are a type of breakable object within Deadlock's map. It may be broken using melee attacks to earn Souls.
Locations[edit]
There are 10 Sinner's Sacrifice locations and 3 types of sites on the map as of the February 25, 2025 update.
- 6 sites of the machine by itself
- 2 "hybrid" camps of 1 machine and 2 Medium Denizens
- 2 "hybrid" camps of 2 machines and 1 Medium Denizen
They spawn 8 minutes after game starts and respawn 4 minutes after being broken (solo) or fully cleared ("hybrid").
Sites are shown on the map with a icon (a square with a circle within it). It should be noted that the icon represents the site and not the Sinner's Sacrifice machine. The icon of a "hybrid" camp will not disappear from the map after breaking the machine but instead when fully cleared.
Behavior[edit]
Interacting with the Machine[edit]
Each machine has 500 health, which is reduced by 50 on a light melee attack or 100 on a heavy melee attack. They cannot be damaged by any other means. Abilities that deal melee
The machine's health is indicated by the lightbulbs at the top of the machine. A melee attack will cause all the lights to turn on and further hits will cause them to turn off from right to left. A light melee will turn off one bulb per hit and a heavy melee turns off two bulbs.
Jackpot[edit]
After being reduced to one or zero bulbs, the Sinner's Sacrifice will enter a looping timing minigame. The lights will begin turning on from left to right accompanied by a count of 8 sound effects.
Hitting the machine timed to when all the bulbs are on will cause a "Jackpot" represented by the last hit dealing 99 damage regardless of melee type, fanfare playing, and the slot rolls landing on three red eyes.
Depending on what melee was used will grant different amounts of Golden Statue buffs. A timed last hit with a heavy melee gives 3 buffs while a timed light melee gives 1 buff.
Souls[edit]
Each Sinner's Sacrifice internally holds a value of 300 souls that increases at a rate of 25 souls per 8 minutes from the beginning of the match. For example, when the machine first spawns at the 8 minute mark, it is "worth" 325 souls.
A heavy melee grants the "payout" value divided by 10 and rounded to the nearest number. A light melee grants the "payout" value divided by 20 and rounded to the nearest number. The final hit will give the "payout" divided by 2 as well as one heavy melee payout. Winning a "Jackpot" will also grant 1 additional soul for unknown reasons.
The payout is intended to grant half of its souls from the melee attacks and the other half when the machine is destroyed. However, due to how the the "payout" is handled, it is possible to gain more or less than the internal value.
