Walking is the most common movement action in Deadlock. Walking allows your character to navigate around Midtown.
When you begin walking, your character accelerates toward a peak move speed. This speed is character-dependent and can be increased through items such as Vitality items (e.g. Sprint Boots and Enduring Speed or Spirit items such as Slowing Hex.
When you stop walking, your character gradually decelerates until coming to a complete stop. This acceleration and deceleration behavior is similar to movement systems seen in other Source-engine games such as Team Fortress 2 and the Counter-Strike series.
You can also walk while crouching. When crouch-walking, movement speed is reduced to 4.75 m/s.
Characters Whose Move Speed Increases with Spirit Power
Certain characters have move speed that scales with Spirit Power (indicated by the ss symbol). Move speed increases by a fixed coefficient that varies by character.
For example, Grey Talon’s move speed scales with Spirit Power at a coefficient of . If Grey Talon purchases Boundless Spirit and reaches a total of 82 Spirit Power, he gains an additional 0.66 m/s of move speed.

You can also walk while crouching. When crouch-walking, movement speed is reduced to 4.75 m/s.

Characters Whose Move Speed Increases with Spirit Power

Certain characters have move speed that scales with Spirit Power (indicated by the x symbol). Move speed increases by a fixed coefficient that varies by character.

For example, Grey Talon’s move speed scales with Spirit Power at a coefficient of x0.0084. If Grey Talon purchases Boundless Spirit and reaches a total of 82 Spirit Power, he gains an additional 0.66 m/s of move speed.
