Ixia is another plane of existence from ours, connected to Earth through an astral gate.[1]
Summary
South Ixia is the 52nd state of the United States. The anniversary of its annexation is celebrated across the country.[2] North Ixia is a battleground.[3]
The US government is sending aid to Ixia as part of their military campaign, drawing opposition from the Friends of Humanity.[4]
Wrecker is known as The Butcher of Ixia.[5] He fought in the fields of North Ixia.[3]
Ixia is a tourism destination.[6]
Ixians
Ixians are the origin of what were historically known as Demons. After the first Maelstrom, some Ixians have immigrated to Earth, leading to a new population of Earth-born Ixians. Infernus and Grey Talon's daughter-in-law are some of them.[1]
Some Ixians have a supernatural control of fire, manifested in Infernus and in Grey Talon's daughter-in-law. Even though Abrams is Ixian[7], he isn't currently known to have control over fire.
Some Ixians, like Abrams, have horns and blue skin.

- Ixia's name may have been inspired by the planet Ix from Dune, whose inhabitants are also known as Ixians.
