Billy is a white hot ball of rage, furious at the very notion of...something. Maybe it’s the cops. Maybe it’s magic regulations. Maybe it’s the service at the gyro place downtown. (Not the good one. The other one.)

Overview

Billy's wish is unknown, although the Patrons imply that Billy wants to change the world due to it being "corrupt and beyond saving".

Biography

Once human, Billy decided to get into eldritch/black/demonic magic to turn his head into a goat's. While unknown if he meant to do it, Billy does imply that he got the goat head for a specific reason.

Billy spends his time speaking "truth to power" and fighting against "the Man", which seems to be people with power in the government. Even though Billy screams of the ills of the world and believes it needs to change, he still pays his taxes and spends most of his time committing small-time crimes in New York like looting and rioting. It's implied Billy uses Shadow Weave to escape the police after committing crimes.

Billy goes to circle pits and used to use Rising Ram in them before being told to stop.

Billy has a mother who says Billy's head is "good for nothing".

Personality

Billy hates everyone. He especially loathes rich people, such as Lady Geist. He does, however, compliment his allies when they're doing well.

Billy is perpetually angry. Nobody knows why exactly Billy is so mad as Billy doesn't give an exact reason for his anger other than being vaguely mad at the world. Billy believes that everyone must have something wrong with them, and that most people think that they're better than him. He often pushes people away when they try to connect with him. Most heroes in the ritual believe Billy is an idiot and that he talks too much.

Billy is highly skeptical of anything he hears. He doubts the Patrons will grant his wish, believes the Baxter Society never killed any real monsters and that it was all a publicity stunt, and doesn't believe the Adversary exists until he sees it with his own eyes. While Billy often talks shit about his allies, he backs down when threatened or confronted by facts.

Billy hates it when people talk about his goat head.

Billy criticizes a Shakespearean Festival, but considers going once Paige points out that people there would view him as "their king".

According to the Soul Urn, Billy has a tendency of quitting jobs prematurely.

Appearance

Billy is a slender man with a black and gray goat head, yellow eyes, spiky hair, tall ears with nails, an earring and an animal tag, and tall horns punctured with nails. His human body has white skin. He wears a spiky black leather jacket with many occult patches and pins, a yellow shirt that says "Mosh Fiend", striped black, red and green pants with hanging yellow and red suspenders, red socks, and tall brown shoes with green and orange shoelaces. His clothes are ripped. He carries a goat plushy on the left side of his pants, and has a fingerless black glove on his right hand, a spiky black bracelet on his left hand, and rings in his left index and middle finger. His weapon is a spiky orange submachine gun simlar to an MP5, with the words "cretin" and "spit it out" painted on the sides. He also carries a spiked bat, used for Bashdown.

Billy does a sign of the horns when riding the zipline. This can be a reference to both his actual goat horns and his love of punk music, as well as a common salute in Satanism and occult practices.

Information

"Billy goat" is a term used for a male goat.

Billy's weapon name, Biquette, means "young female goat" in French. It is a reference to "Biquette the punk rock goat", who went viral on the internet for hanging around punk rock and metal concerts.

Character Relationships

Vyper

Billy and Vyper are familiar with each other. While on the same team, Billy and Vyper flirt with each other. During a conversation implying the two might have sexual intimacy after the ritual, Vyper asks if she can call Billy "Lash" during the act, to which Billy replies that he doesn't care.

While Vyper holds Billy in high regard, Billy thinks Vyper is a moron.

Soul Urn

The Soul Urn knows Billy, implying that Billy has worked for the Municipal Coven before. The Urn refers to Billy as "William" and doesn't want to be associated with him.

• Akin to the Soul Urn, Lady Geist exclusively refers to Billy as "William". She refuses to call him Billy.

• Bebop calls Billy the "budget version of Lash".
• Vindicta calls Billy out for always talking about the world's problems, but doing nothing to change them.

Removed Lore

In the files, Billy has meta lines when dying to certain abilities, such as "way to press 4, Haze". These lines are unused.

Before his release as "Billy", Billy was referred to in pings as "Furball" and "goat-headed thing". These lines were removed in the Six New Heroes update.
