Soul UrnGive feedback
The Soul Urn, also known as Spirit Urn, Soul Jar or Spirit Jar, is an objective that spawns at the 10-minute mark and respawns in 5-minute intervals.

“You'd think people would be more excited about a jar of souls!— Soul Urn
Players can pick up the urn and deliver it to its destination on the opposite side of the map. Doing so grants the delivering team Soul Orbs, a Golden statue buff, and additional souls for the courier.
The Soul Urn respawns on the side it was delivered to.

Carrying the soul urn
After 10 minutes, the Soul Urn spawns in one of two locations in the outermost lanes: beside the overhanging bridge at York Street (Yellow Lane) or beside the bridge at Park Avenue (Green Lane). The urn always spawns first on Yellow Lane at 10 minutes and alternates lanes every 5 minutes. It descends from the sky for 12 seconds before it can be picked up. A player can grab the landed urn by standing near it for 2 seconds.
While carrying the urn, the courier is affected in several ways:
- They get a Move Speed bonus of +3.5 m/s and they have 100% Slow Resistance and 50% Bullet and Spirit Resist.
- They are disarmed and silenced.
- Channeled abilities and items started before picking up the urn, like Ivy's Air Drop, Viscous' Goo Ball and Magic Carpet, are not interrupted.
- They are revealed to the enemy team on the Minimap.
- They cannot use Ziplines or Teleporters.
The courier can drop the urn at any time by pressing their parry key. A heavy melee attack or any stun from an enemy will also force the courier to drop it. If an urn is left on the ground for too long, it will walk back to its spawn point.
Note: The Soul Urn's soul value is determined at the moment it spawns (e.g., 10:00, 15:00). Holding onto the urn for longer durations does not increase its value.
The drop-off point is on the opposite side of the map, marked by a small green box on the Minimap (or red, when the enemy is carrying it). If a team is behind by a certain soul threshold (15% for the first urn, 10% after), the drop-off point moves closer to their side. This "favored" status is indicated by four floating green candles around the urn. For the leading team (drop-off on the enemy's side), these candles are red.
It takes 2 seconds to turn in the urn. If the delivery takes longer than 45 seconds, the urn begins to damage its courier for 1.5% of their max health per second and disables their Health Regen. This timer pauses if the urn is dropped and resets if the enemy team picks it up.
The courier can double jump in the urn drop-off point without resetting the drop-off counter, allowing them to dodge melee attacks and stuns. Teammates can also use abilities such as Dynamo's Quantum Entanglement and Viscous' The Cube to protect the courier during the drop-off.
Soul urn reward
The Soul Urn's base soul bounty is 1300 Souls and increases by 230 Souls per minute of game time. This value is "locked in" at the minute the Urn spawns.
- 10-minute Urn: 3,600 Souls
- 20-minute Urn: 5,900 Souls
- 30-minute Urn: 8,200 Souls
When a team successfully turns in the Soul Urn:
- A random Golden Statue buff is granted to each member of the capturing team.
- 50% of the base value is distributed instantly and equally to all team members.
- 50% of the base value is spawned as contestable Soul Orbs.
Courier's bonus
The courier receives a personal bonus equal to 35% of their total share (Base Share + Comeback Bonus). This bonus is awarded instantly upon delivery and cannot be denied by the enemy team.
The comeback mechanic
If the capturing team is behind by 10% or more (15% for the first urn), the Urn becomes a Comeback Urn. This adds a Comeback Bonus to the reward:
- Bonus Calculation: The bonus scales based on game time and the team's soul deficit. It uses a growth rate of 130 Souls per minute.
- Approximate Formula: Individual Bonus = 130 × Minutes × Deficit %
- Safe Payout: The entire Comeback Bonus is added to the Instant Soul pool.
- Orbs: The contestable Soul Orbs do not increase during a comeback; they remain fixed at 50% of the original base share.
Note: The first 3,000 souls of net worth difference are generally ignored when calculating the deficit, which may slightly dampen the bonus for smaller leads.
Reward scenarios
The following examples use the 10-minute Soul Urn (Base Value: 3,600 Souls).
Scenario 1: Standard delivery (Team is winning or even)
- Individual Base Share: 600 Souls (3,600 ÷ 6)
- Orbs per player: 300 Souls (50% of share, deniable)
- Instant per player: 300 Souls (50% of share, guaranteed)
- Each Teammate receives: 600 Souls total (300 instant + 300 from orbs)
- The Courier receives: 810 Souls total (300 instant + 300 orbs + 210 courier bonus)
- The courier's 35% bonus is: 600 × 0.35 = 210 souls.
Scenario 2: Comeback delivery (30% deficit)
- Individual Base Share: 600 Souls
- Comeback Bonus per player: 130 × 10 × 0.30 = 390 Souls
- Total Individual Share: 990 Souls (600 base + 390 bonus)
- Each Teammate receives: 990 Souls total (690 instant + 300 from orbs)
- Instant souls include 300 (base) + 390 (comeback).
- The Courier receives: 1,337 Souls total (1,037 instant + 300 orbs)
- Courier bonus is: 990 × 0.35 = 346.5 souls.
- Instant souls include 300 (base) + 390 (comeback) + 346.5 (bonus).
