This page has a glossary of gameplay terms commonly used by the Deadlock community. Most of these terms have been adopted from other MOBA games.

AOE
- Initialism for Area of Effect
BKB
- Initialism for Black King Bar, Dota's equivalent of Unstoppable
BM
- Initialism for bad manners
Carry
- A type of hero who scales well with Souls and therefore is able to overpower most threats in the late game
CD
Creep
Debuff Remover
- Old name for Dispel Magic
Frontliner
- A type of hero who is relatively durable and seeks to disrupt enemy players
Fountain
- Spawn room
Hook
- Bebop's Grapple Arm. Rarely used to refer to Yamato's Flying Slash
M1
Mid
- Mid-Boss. Rarely used to refer to blue lane
Minion
- The equivalent term to Trooper in League of Legends and Smite
Remlings
Skillshot
- An ability that requires aiming to hit
Throw
- Giving advantage to a losing team
Tower
- The equivalent term to Guardian in Dota
Turret
- McGinnis' Mini Turrets. Also equivalent term to Guardian in League of Legends
