Transcription Style Guide
Rules. They are needed. You agree. (proper intro sentence?)
1. Header
Transcriptions should match the in-game caption as closely as possible. Changes can be made to correct grammar, unusual punctuation or to make the tone of the line more clear. Italics are allowed for emphasis.

2. Audio Description
Audio descriptions, such as sighing, laughing or other noises, are marked with square brackets. The descriptor should be in italics to more clearly differentiate from normal text. If transcribing the sound is more readable than describing it, then it should be transcribed.

3. Header
The order of voice line transcriptions should match the order given in the files.
4. Alternative Voice Lines
Some voice lines have variations, marked as “_alt_01” in the files. These lines go in the same field as the main line, are put in brackets an are marked with “Alt:” preceding the transcription. If there are multiple alternative lines, add their respective number. If the transcription of the alternative line is identical to the main line, this can be omitted.
5. Concerning other languages.
Some characters, such as Ivy, frequently speak languages other than English. In those cases, a sentence at the top of the quote page should disclose the second spoken language. On Ivy's page, it goes as follows: "Some of Ivy's lines are spoken in Spanish, or a mix of Spanish and English. They will have translation in italics." The transcription in plain text matches the spoken language, followed by a bracketed and italicized translation.
In practice, a transcription of hers might look as follows:

Some characters say one-off sentences in other languages, such as Bebop. In those cases, the line is still written in the spoken language, but the following translation is preceded by the language that is being translated from.
