Chapter 1: Welcome To New York[edit | edit source]

Holliday: I hate New York.

Holliday: Hey, I just wanted to call. Let you know I got in safe.

Larry: It would have been a lot faster if you just took an airship.

Holliday: Yeah, but that would have meant getting on an airship.

Larry: So what's your plan?

Holliday: I put a bullet in that son of a bitch.

Larry: That's the goal. What's your plan?

Holliday: I'm meeting a friend tomorrow. Said they had some leads. I'll know more then.

Larry: You need to get some sleep.

Holliday: I need a lot of things.

Larry: I'm serious.

Holliday: I'll call you when I have something.

Larry: Don't die.

Holliday: Bye.

Holliday: Larry’s right, I need to rest. Maybe if I'm lucky, I won't dream.

(...)

Holliday: What did you do to them?

(...)

Holliday: [Heavy breathing]

Holliday:I can't waste any more time. It's time to get to work.

Chapter 2a - Jurisdiction[edit | edit source]

Follows from Chapter 1

Holliday: Hey, I'm here to speak with Captain Murphy.

Receptionist: At 3 in the morning?

Holliday: Yeah, it's only 1 in my time. Look, just call him and tell him Holliday's here.

Receptionist: He's married.

Holliday: It's work.

Receptionist: Mm-hmm.

Holliday: Oh my god, lady, can you just call him?

Receptionist: Hey, Murphy, you got a visitor. She says her name's "Christmas".

Holliday: "Holliday"!

Receptionist: Close enough.

Receptionist: He's waiting for you in the back.

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: Been driving all night. Just got here.

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: Larry said the same thing.

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: Maybe people should stop giving unsolicited advice!

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: Yeah.

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: You're not.

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: No, it's him.

Agent Marlowe: Indeed it is, sheriff. That's why we're here. Agent Marlowe, OSIC.

Captain Murphy: (...)

Agent Marlowe: What match? It's already over. You've done fine work, Captain, but I'd think your friend from Macomb would agree that you're out of your element. Now, I'm going to get a coffee, and when I come back, I need to know if you're going to help me or if you're going to get out of my way.

Holliday: You know him?

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: How did he know I was from Macomb?

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: Fair. You trust him?

Captain Murphy: (...)

Holliday: Good thing I got a winning personality.

Chapter 2b - Deep Conversations At The Waffle House[edit | edit source]

Follows from Chapter 1

Allie: Couldn't this wait till morning?

Holliday: I didn't come all this way to sleep. What do you have?

Allie: And you'll do the interview?

Holliday: If that thing's dead and I'm alive, you can have all the time you want.

Allie: I was talking to someone who thinks he knows where the Troubadour will strike next.

Holliday: How?

Allie: He's someone with a... unique insight.

Holliday: Allie, don't tell me you've been taken in by a dime store scryer.

Allie: I'm not.

Holliday: If divinations work, then the OSIC would already have him.

Allie: This is different.

Holliday: Who have you been talking to?

Allie: My source doesn't matter. What does is that I'm telling you he is credible.

Holliday: Then why isn't he telling the cops?

Allie: He doesn't wanna help the cops. He wants to help you.

Holliday: Who have you been talking to?

Allie: I can't tell you.

Holliday: Goddammit Allie, this is not the time for journalistic integrity!

Allie: We don't get to pick and choose when to follow the rules.

Holliday: Look at me and tell me how much I care about the rules right now.

Allie: If you really wanna meet my source... I can talk to him. But you came here to stop the Troubadour before he kills again, so maybe you should just take the tip.
