Seasonal events are temporary events in Deadlock to celebrate holidays.

Halloween

The 2024 Halloween event ran from October 31 to November 7. The 2025 Halloween event started on October 24 and is currently ongoing.

It added 4 Halloween masks for heroes and pumpkin models for boxes, statues and Denizens. The Halloween masks were randomized.

Winter

Winter main menu

The 2024 Winter event ran from December 17 to January 17, 2025.

It added a new main menu animation, remixed music for the menu and shops, and Winter-themed decorations in the streets, buildings, and Curiosity Shop. The Shopkeeper featured a Santa mask and unique lines. In addition, the Denizens were modelled after snowmen. Dynamo and the Newscaster had unique holiday voice lines.

All the mainline Heroes received unique Winter skins, which could be unlocked by completing their respective challenge. A list of which skins were unlocked during the event can be seen in the "Showcase" tab in the player's profile, next to the "Match History" button. Players who participated in the Winter challenge also unlocked a snow globe above their fireplace in the Hideout.

Skin challenges

As the winter skin challenges weren't listed in-game or in patch notes, the challenges were discovered and shared by the player community over the duration of the event.

These challenges could be achieved only in a normal match or a labs match, not in a custom game or against bots. The conditions for each challenge must be completed in one match.

Winter skins were tracked in-game by a Santa hat icon in the main menu that showed how many skins had already been unlocked. Heroes with Winter skins had the Santa hat icon and a red background in the Heroes page.

The skins can be tested in sandbox mode or custom games (with cheats enabled) with the console commands ent_fire player setbodygroup hat,1 and ent_fire player setbodygroup xmas,1.

Grey Talon	Deal 850+ spirit damage at once to one or more players, five times
Haze	Kill streak of 7 enemies
Infernus	Hit 3+ enemies at once with Concussive Combustion
Ivy	Silence 6 enemies total with T3 Air Drop bombs (McGinnis' turrets also seem to count as an enemy)
Kelvin	Capture 2+ allies and 2+ enemies at once with Frozen Shelter
Lady Geist	Do a Soul Exchange when you have less than 100 health
Lash	Affect 4+ total players with Death Slam (both hooked and slammed on enemies count)
McGinnis	Destroy 9 structures (Guardians/Walkers/Shrines/Patron)
Mirage	Get 3 Djinn's Mark kills
Mo & Krill	Use the Combo ability to get a kill or assist ("stack") on each player on the Enemy Team
Paradox	Kill 3 enemies while you're airborne
Pocket	Hit 4+ enemies at once with Affliction
Seven	Kill an enemy with Storm Cloud's thunderbolt
Shiv	Kill 3 enemies with Killing Blow
Vindicta	Kill 2 enemies in the same use of Flight*
Viscous	Hit 3 enemies with one use of Goo Ball
Warden	Damage every enemy player with Binding Word at least once
Wraith	Throw 6 cards in 10 seconds or less
Yamato	Kill 2 enemies with one Shadow Transformation

*Note: Vindicta's challenge can also be completed by killing an enemy while flying and then getting killed mid-flight, as the game seems to count the player's death as a kill.^[1] Getting killed may also work for Seven's challenge.
