Seven is a Hero in Deadlock. A visionary who aims to continuously grow his power, Seven excels in rapidly taking control of the battlefield by denying areas with Lightning Balls and Surging his gun to punish his foes for staying close together. After showing his enemies their place with Static Charge, Seven is free to discharge himself into a Storm Cloud and fry them like a microwave casserole.

It is unknown what actions led to Seven being imprisoned within Lost Whisper. However, Seven managed to turn what was meant to be his execution into the bloody murder of his captors. Finally free and waiting within the underbelly of the Cursed Apple, he wishes to reach "apotheosis" by completing the ritual.

“When mystic energy awoke on Earth, the world changed... anything was possible. But just because anything WAS possible, didn’t mean that anything SHOULD be possible. And so the government made rules. Laws. A means for US citizens to enjoy the benefits of the supernatural world in safety. But rules and laws are for lesser men. Men with limitations. Men who were not Seven.
There are many rumors about what Seven did to land himself in Lost Whisper, an oubliette for the most dangerous of occultists. But there is no doubt about what happened on the night of his execution.
Wards placed by the most powerful ritualists of 7 different nations… wards designed to not just prevent mystical interference with the execution, but to simultaneously obliterate Seven's soul so that it could never be contacted, resurrected, or otherwise be used by someone looking to follow in his footsteps... failed.
Onlookers viewed in horror as the strongest mentalist employed by the US Army’s head popped like a grape. They screamed as Scotland Yard’s premiere occult investigator, the one who allegedly captured Seven, crumbled to ash. Seven's body buckled and writhed against his restraints; his skin burning from eldritch electricity... and yet he would not die. He laughed.
He laughed as he tore himself free from his bondage.
He laughed as his captors cowered in fear.
He laughed as he massacred his tormentors.
He laughed as he tasted the fresh air that was denied to him for years.
And he laughed when he thought about what he was going to do once he reached New York City.
Lore
Seven's motive and wish in the ritual is to achieve "apotheosis,"[2] which means the glorification of a subject to divine level,[3] meaning that Seven wants to become a god, or gain godlike powers.[4][5] Seven believes he will become powerful enough for the Patrons to bow to him.[6]
Seven claims he was imprisoned in Lost Whisper because he "offended small-minded simpletons with fragile egos".[7] Seven implies getting caught and sent to Lost Whisper was part of his plan.[8] How Seven survived the botched execution is unknown, but he seems to have died in the process, which could mean he's undead.[9]
Seven says he doesn't like murder, rather, he is "indifferent" to it.[10] He does enjoy letting fear sink into his victims, however.[11]
Seven has done research on the Astral Gates, and he credits Professor Dynamo as an influence in his work.[12]
Seven mentions that he once loved someone.[13] According to the Archmother, Seven had a "destiny" which his lover tried to steal.[14]
On the run from the OSIC, Seven currently lives in New York's old subway tunnels. He tells Mo & Krill he has "particular needs" regarding the creation of new tunnels.[15][16]
Seven mentions that he had to "scurry with the rats since he was a child".[17]
Seven can speak the Ixian language.[18][19]
The New York Oracle reporter Allie Kincaid is writing a story on Seven.[20][21]
Character interactions
- Seven has a one-sided hatred towards Kelvin for unknown reasons.[22][23][24] Kelvin thinks Seven "seems familiar".[25] Additionally, both Seven and Kelvin have an interest on researching Astral Gates.[12][26] When being healed by Kelvin, Seven is reminded of "old times".[27] Seven believes Kelvin has a bigger ego than Lash.[28]
- A likely possibility is that Seven is Kelvin's old friend Ettrick, who "vanished". Lady Geist says Ettrick "caused a scene" at one of Kelvin's fundraisers.[29] This is supported by one of Seven's lines to Kelvin that mirrors one of Kelvin's lines about Ettrick.[24][30] Kelvin pushed Ettrick away due to his "ambition", which aligns with Seven's ambition to achieve apotheosis.[31] Seven also believes that mentors "use the young to achieve glories they could not achieve on their own", possibly referring to Kelvin.[32]
- According to Rem, Seven smells like "evil s'mores".[33] This contrasts Kelvin's scent of "nice s'mores."[34]
- Seven has a strong conviction that exceptional magic users should use their powers, regardless of how others might judge them for it. He criticizes Dynamo for wanting to "throw away" the "great gift" of his star form,[13] teases Infernus for "putting on a muzzle" and "wasting" his powers,[10][35] criticizes Celeste for masking her power at a sideshow,[36] and says McGinnis is "wasting her brilliance" working for Fairfax Industries.[37]
- Seven wants to commission Paradox for a job.[39]
- Seven knows that The Doorman isn't normal and wants to uncover his secrets.[40][41]
- Seven warns Graves that her mentor is using her to "live glories they could not achieve on their own".[42] He also warns Graves that the path she's on will eventually get her killed. Seven warns Graves because he "hates to see talent wasted".[43]
- Seven warns Rem to stay away from anyone who mentions the OSIC, claiming that they won't help Rem get home.[44] Rem finds Seven scary.[45]
- When on the same team, Seven teases Haze for working alongside him and asks how soon will they start fighting each other once the ritual is over.[46][47]
- McGinnis offers help to remove Seven's headgear.[48]
- Paradox is aware of Seven's safehouse in the tunnels and threatens to reveal their location.[49]
- Paige swears she won't let her brother turn out like Seven.[50]
- The Doorman thinks Seven is more delusional than Lash.[51]

Trivia
- Seven was named Gigawatt in Neon Prime.
- Seven originally had kill lines towards Paradox that implied he wanted to take over the Paradox Organisation.[52][53] These lines were removed in the Old Gods, New Blood update.
- Seven's chestplate has numbers that form a Gorowase, a form of Japanese wordplay with numbers. 4279 can be read as Shi (4) Ni (2) Na (7) Ku (9) = Shininaku (死になく), or "Become unkillable" (rough translation).
- Seven's name may be a reference to Numerology, in which the number 7 is associated with spirituality and the search for knowledge.[54]
- Seven was the only hero with a limping animation which played when he was low on health. This has since been removed.
- "Plotting in the Hideout" is displayed as one's status in the in-game Friends List when playing as Seven in the Hideout.
- Seven's character select line "With these hands I will destroy, and with these hands I will rebuild" is a quote from the song The Good Doctor by The Protomen.
