Jacob Lash is an asshole.
Overview
Lash's wish and motives in the ritual are currently unknown. He does, however, know exactly what he wants from the Patrons.[1]
Biography
Lash is a champion of the Bear Pit, an underground arena of blood sport where spectators gamble on matches.[2][3]
Lash is referred to by others as a "stevedore" (dockworker).[4][5][6] He also has anchor tattoos on his shoulders, and his 
Death Slam ability has ship horn sound effects.
Instead of a traditional dockworker, Lash may be an airship worker, as airships are the primary means of air transport in the Deadlock universe.[7] This is supported by his air mobility in gameplay. The anchor tattoo in Lash's previous model was surrounded by wind shapes.[8]
Personality
Lash refers to himself as "The Lash".[9][10] He also calls himself "The God of Combat" and "God's gift to Combat". [11][12] He frequently flirts with women (who generally shut him down or ignore his attempts) and likes to give nicknames to others.
Information
Lash donates 3% of his earnings to his charity called "Lash-Back", dedicated to children "that kind of suck".[13]
Lash likes to drink mimosas,[14] a cocktail made with chilled sparkling wine and orange juice. He has an open tab at Jezebel's.[15]
Lash has not gone to college.[16]
Character Relationships
Lash and Bebop have a rivalry fueled by hate for each other.[17][18][19] Lash used to use an uppercut instead of Ground Strike, but refused to use it ever again after seeing Bebop use an uppercut.[20][21] Bebop has beaten Lash in the Bear Pit once,[22] and Lash has beaten Bebop at least once afterwards.[23][24] Neither Bebop nor Lash elaborate on why they hate the other so much.[25][26]
Lash has at least 87 reasons why he's better than Bebop.[27]
Lash mocks 
Wraith for betting on Bebop,[28] and Wraith teases Lash because he lost to Bebop "one time".[22]
One of the storylines in Ivy's Visual Novel has Lash helping her go after Mendoza.
Vyper loves Lash and is obsessed with him.[29][30][31] She has watched him sleep (without his knowledge)[32] and sends Lash letters made to "stand out" (the contents of the letters are unknown, but they do make Lash uncomfortable).[33][34] When Vyper flirts with 
Billy, she asks if she can call him "Lash".[35]
Lash is scared of Vyper's obsession with him and wants her to leave him alone.[36][37][38]

Venator[49] compliment Lash's moustache. Billy also says Lash is "chiseled like a Greek god".[46]

Shopkeeper calls Lash a "Celtics fan"[51] and "the poster boy for the Celtics".[52] The Boston Celtics basketball team has a historic rivalry with the New York Knicks, which is referenced in other voice lines.[53][54]

Neon Prime
In Neon Prime, Lash owned a dojo. He taunted 
Kali, a former Bear Pit competitor, for coming out of retirement only to go back to a 2 decade hiatus after losing to Bebop.[78] Lash also used to date the character Ballista, and wanted to get them back after a break-up.[79][80]
The only known image of Neon Prime Lash is a small icon in which he is depicted with a purple visor. This character was confirmed as Lash by Yoshi.
