- Does 50% damage to objectives.
- Enemies who step off the trail will continue to receive damage for 1s due to lingering mechanic.
- The duration cannot be shortened with Debuff Resist ( Debuff Reducer etc).
- This can be dispelled e.g. via Dispel Magic.
- The player can hold "Move forward" (
W) to move faster or "Move Left" / "Move Right" (A/D) to strafe while dashing. Moving back, dashing, sliding or jumping is disabled during the cast. - The player is not silenced and can cast other abilities (e.g. Napalm) or items (e.g. Warp Stone) without breaking Flame Dash.
- Activating Majestic Leap, Ethereal Shift or Refresher interrupts Flame Dash.
InfernusGive feedback
Infernus is a Hero in Deadlock. He is an Ixian with a powerful control of flame that he uses to enhance his speed and ignite his enemies. Combining his Flame Dash with the ability to spew a Napalm catalyst, Infernus can chase down and ignite his foes with a deadly Afterburn. Any targets left standing will be subject to his explosive Concussive Combustion, knocking them out and leaving them vulnerable to further immolation.

“They'll be nothin' but ash when I'm through.
As a creature from Ixia, Infernus had a troubled and intense youth while he was raised in the United States. Despite a rash of deadly crime as a teenager, he found himself tending a bar in his adulthood and learning to calm his intense emotions. With quality music and interesting people to talk to, Infernus rarely has a need these days to call up his dangerous supernatural abilities.

Afterburn
Afterburn
Abilities refresh to the base burn duration and weapon hits extend it.
- Duration is refreshed by 0.5s for body shots and 1s for headshots.
- Afterburn's Build-Up is affected by distance falloff. For example: if you are at a distance where you would do 50% damage due to distance falloff, a body shot will build up half as much afterburn as normal. Refreshing the ongoing burn, however, is not affected by distance falloff.
- A light melee has 20% Afterburn build-up. A heavy melee has 35% build-up.
- Afterburn ticks every half-second, for half its DPS each tick.
- Debuff Resist interactions:
- Does not affect the build-up in any way.
- Does reduce the initial base duration and the maximum duration.
Concussive Combustion
Concussive Combustion
Once cast, Concussive Combustion cannot be interrupted.
- A burning ring surrounds Infernus during the delay part of cast. It shows ability's range and is visible to both allies and enemies.
- It does not require line of sight on Infernus to be seen.
- Being invisible (e.g. Shadow Weave) hides the ring from enemies. Being revealed (by stepping too close or being damaged) reveals the ring too.
Backstory
See Infernus/Lore for more story content.
“Like most teenagers; Infernus was wild, rebellious, and impetuous. Unlike most teenagers, Infernus was a creature from another plane and had a supernatural mastery over fire. Needless to say: his youth was filled with no small amount of arson, murder, and evidence disposal. But that was then. Now an adult, Infernus has mellowed out considerably. He’s happy working at a bar with good live music, and talking to interesting people. That being said when someone at the bar gets belligerent or violent, he’s not afraid to dust off the skills he once honed.
