Kelvin is a Hero in Deadlock. He is a dedicated, undead scientist with a bevy of freezing abilities to slow his enemies and heal allies. He can conjure an Ice Path under his feet for faster movement for himself and his team, throwing Frost Grenades and firing his Arctic Beam at nearby enemies to set them up for his companions' attacks. Tactical usage of his Frozen Shelter ice dome can protect and heal allies while trapping hapless opponents.
As an adventuring scientist, Kelvin was particularly excited for rumors of an 8th Astral Gate opening in the Arctic, developing an expedition to hunt for it. However, something went wrong with the expedition, vanishing into the snow and leaving Kelvin's frozen, animate body to be discovered over a year later. With no memory of the expedition, Kelvin seeks the Patrons for answers.
Kelvin creates a floating trail of ice and snow that gives movement bonuses to him and his allies. Kelvin gains 60% slow resistance for the duration. Enemies can also walk on the floating trail. Press Dash / Crouch / slide to travel up or down while in Ice Path.

All buffs applied by the ability are granted in a radius of 5 meters, this is not affected by radius increasing items like Greater Expansion. You are still allowed to imbue it unlike other abilities unaffected by Greater Expansion
Similar to the Lady Geist Soul Exchange Bug, upon upgrading to the T3, all abilities, items, and statistics increased by spirit power will falsely show increases to their power as if the additional spirit power is always active. This increase will only account for the flat increase in spirit power and not the percentage bonus. The apparent flat increase in power is affected by Boundless Spirits 1.15x to spirit. In reality however the formula is this Spirit Power x 1.15 Boundless Spirit x 1.35 Frozen Path + 20. So unlike how most temporary spirit power buffs work where they are increased by Boundless Spirit it doesn't affect the flat power increase of this ability

Item Draft
In Street Brawl, every hero draws items from a shared pool, but some items are weighted to appear more often for a given hero and others less often. For each tier below, that tier's items are grouped by how likely they are to be offered to Kelvin: High, Average, or Low chance.
A famed adventuring scientist, Kelvin made it his life's mission to explore and understand the unknowable. So naturally when rumors surfaced regarding an 8th astral gate hidden in the arctic, Kelvin couldn't build an expedition team fast enough. Assembling the brightest minds of his generation, Kelvin and his team set forth with much fanfare.
They never returned.
A year and a half later the frozen body of Kelvin was found by a fishing trawler, his corpse clutching a rock etched with glowing runes. The crew chipped away at the ice, looking to get a closer look at the body and were shocked when Kelvin opened his eyes. They checked his vitals... there was no pulse. They sought to bandage his open wounds... there was no blood. And yet, impossibly, Kelvin was "alive".
Having no memory of what happened on the expedition, Kelvin is looking for answers.
Kelvin is the base unit for temperature of the International System of Units and the Kelvin scale is an absolute temperature scale that starts at the lowest possible temperature, 0 K, which is equal to -459.6° Fahrenheit or -273.1° Celsius.
Kelvin narrated an old version of the tutorial.[1]
In a removed voice line that played when upgrading his Ice Path, Kelvin referenced a Shadowline, the former name of the Ziplines during an early version of Deadlock of the same name.[2]
Kelvin's suit in Neon Prime was used as the base for Viscous' current model.
"Chilling in the Hideout" is displayed as one's status in the in-game Friends List when playing as Kelvin in the Hideout.
