As the Spymaster of the Soviet Empire, "The Raven" has sought every scrap of ancient writing, artifacts, and history in an effort to give the specter of Catherine the Great a body once more. In the Cursed Apple, the Patrons offer him the best chance to achieve his goal.
Raven was added to Hero Labs on December 6, 2024, and removed from the game when the mode was discontinued on August 18, 2025.

Backstory
“Led by the specter of Catherine the Great, the Soviet Empire has flourished in a brave new world of mysticism. But while her deeper motivations are often obfuscated from the world stage, one thing is for certain: she hates being a ghost. To this end she has tasked The Empire’s spymaster with one goal: find a way to make her corporeal once more.
Relentless in pursuit of his task; the operative known only as "The Raven" has scoured the Earth looking for strange artifacts, apocryphal writings, and wisdom of the life beyond. Now in New York, Raven looks to find a way to tether Catherine’s spirit to the mortal coil.
Lore
Raven carries a canopic jar, used by ancient Egyptians to store the soul of the dead in the mummification process.[1] It is used in his ultimate.
Raven mentions Rasputin[2] and the Romanovs.[3]
Raven hopes the OSIC will be cooperative to his plans.[4]
Character Interactions
- Both Raven and Paradox claim to be in possession of the Tome of Anubis. Wraith says she thought the Tome was at the Met.[1][5]
- At some point, the Tome of Anubis was reportedly seen in New York's black market.[6]
- Calico knows Raven and likes him.[7][8]
- Mirage has met Raven before[9] and mentions a conflict between the Soviet Empire and the Djinn.[10]
- Holliday finds Raven handsome.[11]
