Hornet
Vindicta is a Hero in Deadlock. She is a mobile and powerful marksman, engaging and picking off her targets from a distance. Using her Crow Familiar to initiate fights by bleeding her targets, Vindicta may launch into Flight to keep her distance from enemies and tether them with a Stake in the ground while targeting them with her powerful rifle. Enemies that are near-death should fear her ability to Assassinate at long-range with a devastating sniper shot.
A girl who was accused of witchcraft and killed by John Hathorne during the Salem Witch Trials of the 1600s, Vindicta returned to this world during the first Maelstrom. Seeking to protect her fellow supernatural entities, Vindicta is waging a war against the Neo-inquisitorial "Friends of Humanity".
Bonus spirit damage is affected by weapon damage fall-off.
The T1 upgrade does NOT increase Vindicta's base Ammo capacity by 50%, it only increases her Ammo capacity by 50% of her base Ammo. This means that it will increase her ammo capacity by the same amount every time and will not affect other sources of Ammo increase such as Titanic Magazine.
When killing a target with Flight active and the T3 upgrade, flight is recast, giving Vindicta a burst of speed in the air, but no additional height.
Vindicta can melee and parry without interrupting flight, allowing her to use Counterspell.

Notes
Assassinate is a hitscan ability. It will hit a player instantly regardless of distance.
Vindicta will remain scoped after firing an Assassinate shot as long as there is at least one ability charge remaining.
The damage scales up from 50% to 100% after one second of being scoped.
If a target dies within 4 seconds after being hit with Assassinate, Vindicta will still get the bonus weapon damage stack.
The stun from Lightning Scroll is applied as separate debuffs. Hitting a target multiple times will apply multiple delayed stuns.
A victim of John Hathorne during the Salem Witch Trials, Vindicta got a second chance of life when her spirit was brought back to the mortal plane during the first Maelstrom (the event that introduced the supernatural to the public at large).
Waging a one ghost war against "The Friends of Humanity", a neo inquisition formed by Hathorne's descendants; Vindicta looks to keep the supernatural safe from Hathorne's ilk, and she isn't afraid to stack as many bodies as needed to do it.
Lore
Vindicta says she was a child who was "unjustly condemned" during the Salem Witch Trials.[1]John Hathorne, who's mentioned in Vindicta's background, was known in the actual Salem Witch Trials for questioning accusers and the accused in trial, often leaving the accused guilty.[2]
Vindicta's motivation in the ritual is to wipe out John Hathorne's bloodline and the Friends of Humanity.[3][4][5][6] Her main goal seems to be getting revenge on Hathorne's bloodline, with the destruction of the Friends of Humanity being a side benefit.[7]
Vindicta says she's not a witch because, in her eyes, she doesn't have wants or dreams: only a lust for revenge.[8] Her main target is the current leader of the Friends of Humanity, also named John Hathorne, who is a descendant of the original Hathorne who killed her.[9][10] Vindicta has killed John Hathorne's brother while he was on a speedboat,[11] and assassinated someone else during the Boston Marathon.[12]
Vindicta has been dead for roughly 200 years[13] before returning to life during the first Maelstrom (50 years before the events of the game).[14] Vindicta says she was "lost" for a while before finding her purpose of revenge.[15] While consumed by revenge, Vindicta ultimately sees her actions as her "saving life".[16][17]
Vindicta says she uses her given name.[18] Puritans in the 17th Century were known to give unusual names to their children, as a way of honoring their religion.[19][20]
Vindicta's exploits have been told about in Ixia. According to Apollo, Vindicta is called "Hasha Vogali", which is Ixian for "Death's Whisper".[21]
Vindicta and Grey Talon have hunted the Friends of Humanity together and regard each other as friends.[23][24][25] Vindicta calls Grey Talon by his first name and believes that, if her father was like Grey Talon, she would never have died during the Salem Witch Trials.[26]
Vindicta believes Ivy is naive and warns her that, if she doesn't smarten up soon, someone she cares about will be hurt.[27]
Haze warns Vindicta to "quit while she's ahead", because murdering John Hathorne will "galvanize" the Friends of Humanity.[28] She calls Vindicta a "domestic terrorist".[29]
Apollo commends Vindicta for her war against the Friends of Humanity, although he dislikes her dishonorable tactics.[30][31]
Graves wishes she could help Vindicta with her problems.[32][33]
Vindicta will occasionally hum the song Simple Gifts after using a shot of her ultimate.[46] This is a song that originated from the Shaker religion in the early 1800s.
"Brooding in the Hideout" is displayed as one's status in the in-game Friends List when playing as Vindicta in the Hideout.
