Billy is a Hero in Deadlock. A white hot ball of rage, furious at the very notion of... something. Billy is a chaotic front-liner who never backs down from a challenge. With Rising Ram he gets up close and personal, before slamming down with Bashdown to create shockwaves through his enemies. Running isn't even an option when Billy can use his ultimate Chain Gang to grapple enemies and pull them back in. A quick swig from his bottle gets him Blasted, and his enemies totally wrecked.

From looting to public vandalism, Billy makes sure anyone who can be bothered to listen gets to hear "the truth". Don't ask him how he got the goat head.
Billy has a passive that alters his light melee attacks. He can use light melees faster than other heroes (shorter recovery time), gets slowed less when using light melees, and his reload is not interrupted by light melees. This allows Billy to hit the Sinner's Sacrifice jackpot faster than other heroes if he uses only light melee.
Additionally, he can restore ammo when hitting melees once he unlocks his Blasted ability, as detailed below.

Due to Billy's Blasted passive, hitting a melee attack reloads his ammo by either 100% (heavy melee) or 35% (light melee).

Slam your bat into the ground, pulling enemies down and dealing melee damage.
Bashdown can be held down to delay starting the Slam's descent for up to 3 seconds and causes Billy to rise vertically.
Billy rises 67.5 u above his initial elevation if the ability is immediately released and up to 163.97 u while the ability key is held.
Billy retains his momentum when using Bashdown and has limited horizontal movement while holding the ability. If Billy reaches the max height of Bashdown, all horizontal movement becomes sharply reduced.
The max height movement lock is ignored if Billy has reduced Gravity (e.g. with Magic Carpet). It is unknown if this is intentional.
T3 upgrade results in ~29% damage increase for the ability, as Billy's Heavy Melee is roughly equivalent to 2.32x of his Light Melee.
Also enables item interactions that are specific to Heavy Melee, i.e. Melee Charge or Spirit Snatch.
Rising Ram has a wind-up period of 0.4 seconds before charging forward. During this time, the trajectory of the charge can be changed via aiming, but adjustments become progressively more difficult as the wind-up is finishing.
Assuming Billy is in the air, Rising Ram has up to a straight angle that Billy will charge when descending (straight down) until landing; upon arrival, Billy will continue the remainder of the charge laterally, in whichever direction the model is facing. Conversely, Rising Ram only has up to approximately 50 degrees of climb when ascending, even if aiming directly upwards.

Passive: Melee hits restore ammo and inflict wrecked on the victim for 7s.
Active: Bullets are amplified against wrecked enemies. Using melee boosts max health and extends duration.
Hitting a heavy melee fully reloads Billy's ammo. Hitting a light melee reloads 35% of ammo, or reduces the reload time by 35% if depleted.
Bashdown procs the melee effects for Blasted.
In addition to melee attacks against players, melee hits on Structures, Denizens, and player summoned units (e.g. McGinnis' Mini Turret) will proc Blasted's effects and extend its duration while active.
If the player reaches a certain threshold of Blasted stacks by landing multiple melee hits in a short time (10-15s), the Blasted duration will start going down even if the player keeps landing melee hits. However, Blasted can be sustained indefinitely by spacing out melee hits before hitting the max stacks threshold.
Due to the fact that Blasted will work on Denizens, it is a good idea to farm them with Blasted active to be able to heal and also increase your soul count.

Chain nearby enemies to you. Chained enemies cannot use movement abilities and receive a heavy slow when they pull on the chain.
After a delay, yank everyone towards Billy and deal spirit damage.
The chain breaks if you lose line of sight for a short while.

Casting Chain Gang will start a 2.8 second long period during which Billy sends out tethers within 12 meters. After that period concludes, all enemies with tethers remaining will be pulled within 4 meters of Billy.
As Chain Gang is not considered a channel, Billy retains full usage of his weapon, movement, and abilities during this time.
Chain Gang's tether will shatter after breaking line of sight with a hard wall or via a Cosmic Veil for at least 1 second.
However, if that enemy hero re-establishes line of sight 𝘢𝘯𝘥 is within the area of effect while Chain Gang's cast period is still active, they will become re-tethered, and will still be pulled towards Billy after the cast has concluded.
While Billy cannot innately cancel Chain Gang, entering certain inactionable states, such as using Ethereal Shift or grabbing a Zipline, will cause the ability to be canceled.
A target with indomitable will still be tethered, but indomitable will prevent the target from being pulled in at the end of the chain duration

Billy is a white hot ball of rage, furious at the very notion of...something. Maybe it’s the cops. Maybe it’s magic regulations. Maybe it’s the service at the gyro place downtown. (Not the good one. The other one.)
Billy's weapon name, Biquette, means "young female goat" in French. It is a reference to "Biquette the punk rock goat", who went viral on the internet for hanging around punk rock and metal concerts.
Billy has unused "bespoke" voicelines that make meta references to the game, such as the popular meleeAbrams build,[2] calling McGinnis' turrets "aimbots",[3] and calling out Haze for "pressing 4".[4]
Billy makes a reference to the Rejuvenator rework, saying that "it used to go out to everybody until the Man decided it was too good".[5]
Billy was one of the heroes in a private build who was accidentally leaked on stream in May 2025. Being early in development, he was using Shiv's model as a placeholder.[6] Billy's work-in-progress portrait was later leaked by an anonymous Discord user in July 2025.
"Ranting in the Hideout" is displayed as one's status in the in-game Friends List when playing as Billy in the Hideout.
One of Billy's in-game hero select screen labels is G.O.A.T., a common acronym standing for "greatest of all time".
Wrecked was originally called 'Pissed', remnants of this can still be seen while hovering over the icon next to the healthbar while Billy is Blasted.
Billy had the largest lead in the Six New Heroes contest, at 30%.[7]
Billy possesses a full set of teeth at the front of his mouth. This is unlike real goats, who lack an upper set and instead have a hard dental pad.
Billy eats his gun magazine in his reload animation. This is a reference to the popular myth that goats can consume and digest any material, including inedible ones.
Billy does a sign of the horns when riding the zipline. This can be a reference to both his actual goat horns and his love of punk music, as well as a common salute in Satanism and occult practices.
