Victor is a Hero in Deadlock. A man who walks the line between life and death. Victor has learned to harness pain into power, shocking himself with Jumpstart to get his adrenaline rushing and his faulty heart pumping. He welcomes incoming damage with open (albeit mismatched) arms, channeling it into his Pain Battery and granting enemies a taste of the pain he endures. Get too close and risk getting caught in his Aura of Suffering, but hey, at least you'll be suffering together! And just when you think you've taken him down... Think again.
A lot of people spend their whole lives wondering who they really are. For Victor, this existential question is made more complicated as he woke up on a mortuary table with no knowledge of his creator, why he was made, and whom he is made of.
Now searching the five boroughs for answers, Victor is hoping to find someone who can identify any part of him.
Lore
Victor is made out of dead body parts.[2] While he's been searching for a while, he has yet to find the origins of any of his body parts.[3] Because he doesn't know where pieces of his body come from, he hasn't replaced or discarded any limbs.[4]
Victor's in constant pain, with the only relief being from The Cube.[5]
Victor's willing to do anything for answers on his origins.[6]
Character Interactions
Victor is often seen by the other heroes as sad or pitiable.[7]
Victor often asks other characters for any leads on his origins. He asks Mo & Krill if he can search the New York sewers to see if any body parts down there match his own.[8] He also asks Dynamo where Columbia College gets their cadavers for their medical program.[9] Victor asks Abrams if any of his past cases included "a mad genius who lost one of his creations."[10]
Victor asks Abrams for help with uncovering his past.[11]
Victor wishes Pocket luck with their problems.[12]
Victor and Kelvin promised each other that they'd stick together, as they're both walking corpses.[13][14]
Victor is named after the literary character Victor Frankenstein, creator of Frankenstein's monster.
Victor's appearance and attractiveness are likely also inspired by Frankenstein's monster's description in the original novel, quote: "I had selected his features as beautiful. Beautiful! Great God! His skin scarcely covered his work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing."[23]
Victor was one of the heroes in a private build who was accidentally leaked on stream in May 2025.[24]
Victor's model was leaked when a game tester from the private build accidentally posted a bug report about Victor to Deadlock's public forums.
"Brooding in the Hideout" is displayed as one's status in the in-game Friends List when playing as Victor in the Hideout.
Victor has heterochromia which is likely due to the fact that he is a patchwork of different body parts and they're two different people's eyes.
The barbed wire wrapped around Victor's left arm will glow with electricity when Pain Battery is ready to be used.
