When it comes to breaking the law, not getting caught is a pretty important part of the job. Vyper never got that memo. Luckily for her, if there’s one thing she’s better at than being arrested, it’s escaping out of jail.
Having done time in every major prison in the tri-state area, Vyper has built an impressive network of street level lowlifes that owe her one. She’s also built an impressive network of street level lowlifes that want her dead, but she tries to focus on the positive.
Overview

Biography
[edit | edit source]Vyper is a gorgon.[4] It's implied that 
Petrifying Bola is one of her gorgon abilities,[5] though she also got the inspiration from 
Silver's 
Entangling Bola.[6] She often refers to herself as "V".[7][8]
Vyper has been to New Jersey,[9] Staten Island,[10] Philadelphia,[11] Illinois,[12] Oklahoma[13] and Wisconsin.[14] She has been to many small towns like DeKalb (which left a strong impression on her)[15] and Wisconsin Dells.[16]
Vyper has been incarcerated in (and escaped from) Riker's Island multiple times.[17] She doesn't want to be sent to Lost Whisper.[18] She has experience making pruno ("prison wine")[19][20] and fighting in prison riots.[21][22]
Vyper used to work for the Mendoza Syndicate, acting as 
Infernus' replacement.[23][24] When working for Mendoza, Vyper was caught by 
Ivy and tried for 13 counts of murder, although Vyper mentions that the actual kill count was way higher.[25][26] Vyper has killed tourists in the past and felt no remorse for doing so.[27] Vyper shows some interest in working for the Seventh Moon due to the growth opportunities.[28]
Vyper has been kicked out of the Paradox Museum and the Baroness Hotel.[29][30] She's also been barred from Jezebel's.[31] Vyper once crashed Fashion Week.[32] She claims to know "the best bars to get kicked out of".[33]
Vyper says her mother was "slinging poison" after she found out about a life insurance policy, implying that she murdered her spouse for the insurance.[34] Similarly, Vyper wants to get married to a rich husband and kill him for the inheritance.[35]
Vyper has a Midwest accent, according to 
Mina.[36] According to Vyper's voice actress Stephanie Kerbis, Vyper is "not from Wisconsin or New Jersey".[37]
Personality
[edit | edit source]Vyper calls herself a "degenerate"[38] and has "real bad impulse control".[39] She likes to commit petty crimes and has trouble holding onto money, preferring to steal what she wants.[40][41] She rarely pays off her loans and has to hide from loan sharks.[42][43]
Vyper often flirts with men (especially 
Lash)[44][45][46] and is willing to go out with anyone who offers her drinks so long as they're buying,[47] even if she finds them intimidating.[48]
Vyper thinks that making 
Daggers is "meditative",[49] and 
Poison is "fun" and "awesome".[50][51] She compares her daggers to "the greasy spoon diner food that you get when you're hung over but you never really wanna finish when you're sober: flawed, but lovable".[52]
Other heroes call Vyper "scum" and think she's "the worst".[53][4][54] They dislike her even when on the same team.[55][56] Nobody trusts Vyper,[57] with the sole exception of 
Rem.[58]
Appearance

Vyper's model is a modified version of 
Kali's model. She's an androgynous, skinny lizard-like creature with a long tail, lime-green skin and greenish-white chest, with black accents around her chest and face, and black hands and feet. She has 4-fingered hands and 2-toes digitigrade feet with long claws. She has black spikes over her eyes, similar to a horned viper. She has purple eyes and a purple forked tongue, and sharp teeth. She wears brown shorts and a brown vest/strap top with a plastic/metal structure in the front. Her gun seems to be based on a German MP 18 submachine gun.
A leaked Vyper remodel had a Cobra hood, snake body and no clothes, and a different gun.
Character Relationships

[edit | edit source]Vyper is infatuated with Lash.[44][59][60] She has watched him sleep (without his knowledge)[61] and sends Lash letters made to "stand out" (the contents of the letters are unknown, but they do make Lash uncomfortable).[62][63] When Vyper flirts with 
Billy, she asks if she can call him "Lash".[45]
Lash is scared of Vyper's obsession with him and wants her to leave him alone.[64][65][66]
Billy
[edit | edit source]Billy and Vyper are familiar with each other. While on the same team, Billy and Vyper flirt with each other, and he doesn't care that she wants to call him "Lash".[45]
While Vyper holds Billy in high regard,[67][68] Billy thinks Vyper is a moron.[69][70] Vyper is upset that Billy never visited her while she was incarcerated.[45][71]
As a bounty hunter, Silver has brought Vyper into custody on several occasions.[72][17] Silver has hunted and caught Vyper so many times that Vyper's use of Petrifying Bola comes from Silver's Entangling Bola.[6]
Silver thinks Vyper is more pathetic than her.[73]
Wraith seemingly wants Vyper dead since she once robbed one of Wraith's poker rooms.[74][75] She also doesn't allow Vyper to take out markers (informal loans) since Vyper never pays them back.[42][76]
Ivy
[edit | edit source]Ivy caught Vyper when Vyper was working for Mendoza.[77][25][26] Vyper knows that Ivy's sister Sophia Arroyo is working for 
Wraith, but doesn't want to get involved in "family drama" unless there's a will involved.[78]
Vyper is envious of Ivy's title as "the savior of Spanish Harlem".[23][16]
Vyper has robbed the Shopkeeper before.[79] Despite this, the Shopkeeper likes Vyper and considers her "his kind of lowlife".[80]
