McGinnis is a Hero in Deadlock. She wields a machine gun and her abilities revolve around the usage of structures like turrets and walls, which she can create to support allies and hold down positions to the benefit of her team. If the situation goes awry, she can launch a powerful barrage of rockets at her enemies.
Internal namesCodenames used for this hero in the game files:
Forge; Engineer
A talented engineer who started her career from a young age, McGinnis isn't fond of theoretical work, thus spending most of her time working in a mechanics shop, often meddling with the supernatural. While the ethics of brainstorming the occult war machine are grey at best, McGinnis isn't that fussed so long as she gets her paycheck.
Deploy a turret that shoots enemies, dealing spirit damage over time. The turret expires after a limited lifetime. Turrets deal reduced damage to troopers and objectives.

Notes
Turrets have 35% melee resist.
Turrets deal 50% damage to Troopers and Denizens, deal 30% damage to Objectives, and receive 50% damage from Objectives.
Turret targeting works as follows:
It will initially target the nearest enemy hero in line of sight when it is placed. If no hero is in sight, it will target the nearest enemy unit.
It will only switch targets once its initial target dies or leaves sight, or when McGinnis starts shooting a hero in sight, in which case all turrets will attempt to aim at the hero being shot.
Shooting a unit or hitting an enemy hero with melee attacks, abilities or items will not change the turret's target.
Turrets are not affected by weapon damage falloff/ramp up, thus normal falloff and the damage bonuses from Close Quarters, Point Blank and their upgrades do not apply.

The healing and fire rate bonuses do not stack when multiple Specters cover the same area.
All of Specter's buffs (including augments from items like Healing Tempo) will linger for 1 second after stepping outside of it's AoE. The linger effect will extinguish alongside Specter if the latter's duration ends before 1 second.

Notes
Spectral wall has a set time of 1.8 seconds to reach it's max range, with its base speed being 27.8m/s. Thus, the speed of the wall increases proportionally to an increase of its range with items like Mystic Expansion or Arcane Surge.
Individual segments of the wall can be destroyed by 2 heavy Melees.
The T3 turrets are deployed on the side of the wall facing McGinnis.

Notes
Services Rendered takes 2 seconds to spin up, increasing McGinnis' fire rate and bullet spread, and slowly winds down at 25% per second (4 seconds total at max spin) as indicated by the grey indicator around the crosshair.
The DPS and Bullets per second stats listed in game use the max spin up values.
Services Rendered's base fire rate starts at 5 bullets per second (Cycle time: 0.2) and spins up to 12.5 bullets per second (Cycle time: 0.08), averaging around 11 Bullets per second per clip at the beginning of a match.
Maggie McGinnis always had a knack for building things. At 4 she was using Lincoln Logs to recreate architectural marvels. At 10 she built and rewired a custom light fixture for her parent's anniversary. At 15 she designed a machine that refined the souls of the dead...that last one got a little more attention than the Lincoln Logs.
Now the head of Fairfax Industries Military R&D department, McGinnis spends her time in the machine shop, not in a lab. She's not interested in theory, to her science is magic you can touch.
Lore
McGinnis' wish is unknown, although it's implied that she's using the ritual as a chance to test some weaponry.[1][2] In The Binding of Oathkeeper, McGinnis helps Lady Geist due to the chance to "harness the power of a God".[3]
McGinnis' first name is Margaret, but she goes by Maggie.[4]
Maximilian Fairfax "paraded McGinnis incessantly" to the New York elite when he first discovered her as a genius teenage inventor.[5] McGinnis was famously known as a "kid genius".[6][7]
As the head engineer of Fairfax Industries Military R&D department, McGinnis brainstorms the occult war machines.[8][9] While it's unknown where McGinnis' inventions have been used, it's said that she may be resposible for millions of deaths.[10][11] As a "notorious misanthrope", McGinnis doesn't really care about the deaths she's caused or the sins of Fairfax Industries.[12][13][14] McGinnis thinks ethics are for scientists "that can't think big enough".[15]
While McGinnis doesn't love working for Fairfax Industries, she's content with being a "wage slave" since she gets paid a fortune.[13][16] McGinnis was worried that she would lose her job when Fairfax lost the sovereignty of the Island of Cadenza to the US Government.[17][18]
McGinnis is aware and makes it known that Spectral Wall usually backfires on her team.[19][20][21]
McGinnis' equipment and weaponry is powered by souls.[22][23]
McGinnis doesn't frequent Infernus' bar, Jezebel's, because she finds it "too fancy". She does, however, want to go when infernus offers her free drinks.[30]
McGinnis is impressed by the craftsmanship used to create Bebop and shows interest in hiring his creator, Ms. Shelly.[31]
McGinnis offers help to remove Seven's headgear.[32]
Paradox is interested in McGinnis' research and the secrets she holds for Fairfax.[46][47] McGinnis has been trying to keep Paradox out of her lab.[48]
McGinnis' design is similar to popular depictions of the American World War II cultural icon Rosie the Riveter - notably the red headband, blue shirt, jeans overalls, red socks and bulky physique.
McGinnis and Bebop are currently tied for the highest base ammo count at 66.
